Is there some issue with getting another jumper to re-ship it? These pussies would probably freak out if they found out you were trying to ship that stuff, but there may be some other way to do it. Ted Like a giddy school girl.
-
Y'all, Para Gear won't ship smoke outside the continental US, and even in the US, only to a commercial address. I think that is the crux of his problem. Ted Like a giddy school girl.
-
Not usually. Now see, if you'd have had a prodigy, you'd have been able to kick out of that. Also, you may have still had some sideways speed from the turn you did right before pitching, which could have contributed to the spin. Ted Like a giddy school girl.

Is that the one where i can reach my risers?????? I'll be there, and if you let me jump your pilot, i will demo a suit. That's the one. I did 4 jumps in one, all on my stiletto 120, and had no problems. Voodew managed to kick out of some pretty good line twists on his Cobalt 105, without having to touch the suit first, and Brit actually jumped her VX60 with it. Your Cobalt will be OK to jump with it. Ted Like a giddy school girl.

I know that on the Sugar Glider I flew, the pull was completely unobstructed by the wing. The rear deflector got in the way a little, but I do have a larger slightly larger rig (spectre 170 + smart 175). The GS1 looks about the same size, but with the repositioned wing, you may need to push down through the wing to get to your hackey. Very nice looking suit though, Cate, et al. Looks super clean. Actually, no. I want something that won't flap when I let go of it, but would still allow me the option of adding a little performance, and controlling my wingtips, when I want too. BTW, you're Johnny On The Spot responding to me when I'm not trying to bait you out. Touché. Ted Like a giddy school girl.

Actually, I'd like to see a suit expressly tailored toward flocking. No grippers, so I can take docks, or better yet, small grippers, which can be used for a quick performance gains, and as ailerons, or to "pull in some flaps", but aren't neccessary for anything but max performance. Sort of like somebody's (Scott Campos'?) idea of adding grippers to the trailing edge of a GTi wing. Also, more range, as oppessed to more glide, would be nice. I'd like a suit that can fly as easily with light, experienced people riding a stall, as it can with crazy first jump students or big, experienced guys in big suits outrunning traffic. Also, if it didn't try to tear off my arms, and was easy to manage in a small plane, that'd be nice too. Ted Like a giddy school girl.

Hey Man, you're just jealous because your Jari tells me more about the inner workings of the company than he tells you. Oh, BTW, Exciting news from Finland!!! (read fast, as I'm sure Tom's mouse pointer is already heading for the delete key) Ted Like a giddy school girl.

Not gonna touch that one... Ted Like a giddy school girl.

New Wingsuit from Birdman!!! Ted Like a giddy school girl.

That reminds me I need to get ahold of Paul and make sure we're still on. I noticed the zippers and the half ribs, and also that it seems the suit is now a multiwing design instead of monowing, and there appears to be something coming down the back of the leg, maybe a really long rear deflector. I've already jumped Paul's suit once, and had a really good time with it, it fits OK. I was really wanting to get it for skyfest so other people could get a taste of it, and just to increase the variety and vibe at the boogie. Can't wait for the new website. Thanks for the info. Ted Like a giddy school girl.
-
Cool little half ribs. I guess those are for reduced drag and more forward speed, or do they help with lift? Also, nice to see you've extended the leg zippers. What other changes does the suit have? BTW: http://www.jii-wings.com for anyone who hasn't found the website. Not much there yet, though. Ted Like a giddy school girl.

Any chance you could compare these numbers to what you're doing with other suits? Ted Like a giddy school girl.
-
The highest serial numbers on the stock suits for sale on the website are around 1900, so there's a minimum for you, at least. My V1 is number 145, and it was manufactured in april, so figure around 40 vampires a month for them. Canadia? Where's that? Ted Like a giddy school girl.

No, I don't consider it fair to say that. I know people who put loads of jumps on Sabres without ever being spanked. Same with Triathlons. I've got to disagree with this. I'd say, though, that it's more on a canopy to canopy basis. Certain models have a higher percentage of 'misbehaved' individual canopies. Cobalts and sabre 2's are examples of this. There's more people bitching about getting a 'bad' cobalt or sabre 2 than about getting a 'bad' XF2, or a 'bad' spectre. Ted Like a giddy school girl.
-
I personally didn't like the handle either. I took mine off. It wasn't very secure (W13 w/ a spectre 170), and seemed to be more of a snag hazard then a hackey if it came out. Other designs seem a lot better (Mirage, Vector). Ted Like a giddy school girl.
-
Try looking at the nose. The XF1 has a 'heart' shaped inlet, the XF2 is more diamond or 'eye' shaped. Other than that, you might be able to get trim specs on both from icarus, and measure them, but that sure is a pain in the ass. Ted Like a giddy school girl.

I am asuming that I am misunderstanding your post -- don't mean to bust your balls. Read the rest of the sentence, wiz. Read the part where he says "once they have learned to fly" and it will make much more sense. Anyways, I don't mean to bust your balls. Ted Like a giddy school girl.

You've tried an S3s, a Blade, a Phi, a Prodigy, a Phantom, and a Matter 3? I really enjoyed the SG too. I was actually laughing for part of the one flight I put on it. Your comment about the S3 is part of my point, though. What you're using the suit for is very important in what characteristics you want from it. Yup. Ted Like a giddy school girl.
-
Best for what? Glide Ratio, forward speed, float, ease of use, student training, BASE, flocking? Also, there's a lot of new wingsuits that have been recently released, or will be. No one can really offer much of an opinion about what's best, or will be, since no one has enough experience on them all to really compare them. The V1, prodigy, Phi, Matter 3, Sugar Glider, SG.2 (or whatever), S5, S3s and phantom are all pretty much unknown quantities right now. Ask again in a year. Then I'll tell you "the V2, S7, SG3, M4, etc... are all too new too really compare" Ted Like a giddy school girl.
-
What type of suit is it? Jen, we'll have a vampire that you'll fit, along with the SG and probably the SFly. Hopefully, Perry will bring a prodigy in that size range. Ted Like a giddy school girl.
-
Awesome. I'm sure that's exactly what Chuck wants, every 5'10" bastard in the state trying to squeeze into his brand-flippin-new fancy suit. I thought that was video... Ted Like a giddy school girl.
-
Chuck is bringing a medium phi, which should fit up to 5'8" and 170lbs, so you, moonglo and I are boned, but it should fit Voodew and probably Doug. I'm assuming the Blade will be about the same size. I'll have a sugar glider you can check out, though. Ted Like a giddy school girl.
-
That would be cool. Maybe we can set some type of record for most types of suits in a single flock. Your matter is a matter 1, right? Ted Like a giddy school girl.
