actually courriel first came from Canada... Cuz they frenchise english words like crazy... and also use english words while correct french words exist for the same thing... but don't americans use the word teathre i.o theatre, night instead of night, believe that an ass is a part of the anatomy which people sit on (actually an ass is a donkey...) etc... and remember, the US are the birthplace of JACKASS... ---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT 579

a quite close version exists on many DZ's, skydivers try to first land on their bum and then flip their body to end on their feet, with a very relative succes... ---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT 579

Faster fallers should go after belly flyers for jump runs into the wind. Pull altitudes and canopy size or irrelevant. There has been a lot of discussion on this topic. Hook ******** even if they fall at twice the speed and leave them with a good 25 seconds between pulls ? got to get adapted at every DZ's regulations... remember that every DZ has NOT got the surface of a US DZ. Some DZ's have small landing areas, and I think you also need to have separation between faster and slower canopies etc... not to have everybody landing at the same time, don't U think so ??? ---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT 579

so, I've never visited it either, but many clients did (i'm a travel agent). To what they sai, food was great, but seats are not very good, very hard, not very reclinable... Like an economy seat, but with nice leather on it. Service on board was really high class though... Shit, why didn't I get on the MF supersonic... ---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT 579

Speed Skydiving Top Speed questions...
lazyfrog replied to BravestDog's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Just so you know, the speeds on that speed skydiving website are in Km/h. ************** 30 miles an hour is approx 50 km/h, 55 mph is approx 95 km/h... I track at 155 km/h approx, and went 410 km/h (must be an error on my protrack) head down (max, not average), my max average is approx 320 km/h the max average is a french guy, Mike Brooke approx 520 km/h. He is a fast man indeed... ---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT 579 -
How was your experience taking the rig as carry on
lazyfrog replied to rendezvous's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
basically never had problems, even carrying the rig directly on my back. Once in Zurich the security girl asked me what was in the bag, and when I explained her, she sighed and told me I was so brave... She then didn't pick up the line when I told her that if I was carrying my chute, it was because I was scared of airplanes... ;-) In Paris, they will not let you with a chute as carry on... It is considered a weapon of fourth category (don't know what else gets in this category...) ---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT 579 -

I have a pair of pantz from last year, they are cool, but as Dragonauti said, tehre is also Sonic from Empuriabrava, Vincent Alain and their girlfriends are doing a good job, and Matter have a disatrous communication now... Specially with their wingsuit project... Moreover, most people in EB now are being equipped with Sonic... But the quality is good (or used to be) also have a look at Piis Pantz on www.piis.ch (in the STUFF area) they are great for FF and track ---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT 579

you always have to see what the exit axis is compared to the wind... Was in Empuria last week and the order is : Tandems, Big Groups, Small Groups, Solos, AFF (groups are first freefly, then flat). The major problem is to have people understanding that Speeders HAVE to go first... They fall much quicker, don't usually pull very high and mainly have quite small canopies... At my DZ tandems go last, always. And we usually recommend to have a good horizontal separation (7-10 sec depending on who is jumping) and also to have people trying to keep a work axis perpendicular to jump run ---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT 579

I don't think many more... the seats were pretty small and uncumfortable... and I can't remember if she had a tailgate... but if you're planning to make it the most ultimate jumpship... call air france or british airways... or Virgin Atlantic... Heard that Richard Branson had in mind to purchase a few... ---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT 579
