  1. IT'S SAFE... just don't fall asleep ;-) already did it... 10 way... each of us with a b..r in the pocket... 4 miles to fly home... at sunset... the b..r was nice and cold. ---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT 579
  2. and you can turn it on in the plane and set it to another altitude... ---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT 579
  3. depends on your procedure... if it's a 2 hand on the handle or a 1 hand per handle... the 2nd one might be easier to keep the 2 handles... never had to use any though... but I learnt the 2nd...hope it happens, quite soon, and in good conditions. glad you made it back. don't worry too much about the few $$$ of the handles. ---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT 579

  6. 16k ??? you might... but even at 21k ASL you still have enough oxygen... no need to release and pull lower.. well, you still have to be in a good enough respiratory condition... already did a hop n pop sunset beer jump at 15k, the only thing was it was a bit cold... as you go up when the parachute deploys, is it high enough to open at 1m AGL ??? ---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT 579
  7. if you pull too high you might faint due to the lack of oxygen ---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT 579

  9. Yes, it's much more fun, Yes it's very responsive... but you can learn how to really give speed to your spectre... Maybe try and get some smaller spectre, do some Canopy Flying course... What I learnt during this course was incredible... Things I would never have tried on my own... And my old Sabre 150 gave me a big amount of emotion and speed... Could have kept it a few 100 jumps more, but I already ordered my saphire2 139. For sure it's a great pleasure, YES I want to downsize again, YES I feel like I can handle a smaller faster canopy, and YES I know that the risk to impact is much greater... So I will wait, wait and wait... Even if I dream of a smaller faster baby.. Going from a Spectre 190 to a saphire 149 is a huge step. The final choice is yours. Just take care when you make your choice. ---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT 579

  12. If you go through a cloud you'll drown. ---------- if you hit a cloud you might brake a bone ---------- how much altitude do you gain when opening the parachute ??? ---------- if you fall too fast (from 300km/h), your body will heat up, your rig will melt, your clothes will start burning ---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT 579

    Worried

if you lose control, go to ball position. You will keep more or less the same speed. going back to belly can be dangerous (like if you're not stable, you might drift and get under others...) and you would then pop up towards them... ---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT 579

  16. ball, and separate by tracking on your back, you will have visual on what's above you, then belly track. If you sit, it's like just letting yourself drop on your back ---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT 579
