Ummm, I know Im new to this board and all, but I guess no one else has seen/posted this yet so I will. We just lost another brother and friend. Lee (Skypunk) was one of my jumpmasters here at Deland, I just jumped with him yesterday doing my Level 2. I just met him about a week ago when I did my level 1, and in that short time since, I made my first friend in the sport, I even requested him for my level 2. He was a great guy, and I know we will all miss him. I guess I will have to wait till the flipside to see yo again bro. 10-4. BlueSkies Lee. Yes I do owe some beer, 45 cases tho is pushing it. Hehehe, dont test your luck. But I tell you what, when I finish my AFF I do plan on bringing a case or 2 down to the DZ (Deland). Just cause Im cool like that. But that is based on 2 conditions: 1) I finish the program, 2) I have money left over. I think we all know how it is to be broke. I am a full time college student, and the money I make at work barely covers my bills, let alone jumping and beer. hehehe. I lost my viginity. hehehe Well skydiving that is. I made my first jump (AFF level 1). Freefell what what, a whole 45 seconds, (13,500' instead of 9000'). As Im sure all *well most of you* know. It was damn amazing. By the end of this weekend tho I have to have what about 5 minutes or so of freefall. Weekend afternext I am going to Skyventure to get another 7 or 8 minutes of freefall practice. So hows about them numbers (read em and weep): 00:00:45 MUWAHAHA Peace Derek

A&P = Airframe & Powerplant, in the most basic sense were aircraft mechanics. But believe me it isnt that simple. IMHO we are basically maintence engineers. But yeah, Pilots break um we fix em. yeah Maddog was telling us (my AFF class) that he was doing a water jump, Im glad he did well cause I look foward to jumping with him and eveyrone else there once I become a half decent skydiver. (a good friend of mine is giving me some of his tunnel time @ skyventure in a couple of weeks, I am driving to Orlando for 7.5minutes of freefall paractice. I think its a safe bet that I am hooked. as for Mike Z, I dont know him, yet, Im sure I will meet him soon, either at the DZ, or through the school skydiving club. Andrea - I just saw your pic in the profile so I will keep an eye out for you, but Ill probably be to shy to say anything even if i did recognize you. But Im sure we will meet eventually. I think I will be at the DZ today (tues) for a bit, Ill probably be wearing what I have on now if anyone wants to single me out (red tshit, blue ish bucket cap, my hair is brown at the rips/but bleach blonde out, umm 5'10" and about 220lbs. hey people, I just started my AFF in Deland. I have already met too many damn cool people and had some great times. Seeing as my other life is on the internet I figure I might as well introduce myself (my experienced friend recommended this site). Im Derek, 21 and I goto Embry Riddle Aeronauitcal University. As of now I have one jump, by the end of next weekend I plan on being ceritified. For those of you who are well versed check it - my ground school instructer was Maddog (forgot his name) 0 but he is a base jumper who about a year ago hit some power lines and got a nice lil zap.
