Ahh I was gathering as much, just not sure. ;) She was having difficulties before probably hitting 10' (underwater). yeah there is a more positive pressure underwater, the problem isnt really the QUANTITY of pressure, its the difference in pressure. She had problems going just a few feet underwater... Hey ppl, I have a quick question. A friend of mine wants to skydive. But heres the problem (isnt there always an excuse... hehehe). She has tried scuab diving, but she had a helluva hard time equalizing (she wasnt sick, and we tried decongestants), more accuratly, she really couldnt. She is worried that she may have the same problem not being able to equalize skydiving. Any of you peeps know about this problem, heard of it, know any tricks etc? I have a friend who did have this problem too (doing a tandem). so I just want to get your input. I am thinking maybe she can just catch a ride up, see how that goes, see if she can clear then, then step up to a tandem. Come to Deland. what can I say, its the best. IMHO. Thats where I jump. ;) I suggest tho, if you want tunnel time, you buy some block time (cheapest) in advance, they can get pretty booked, and if you just show up, you never know.... I use Imesh, Audiogalaxy, FTP Searchs (also audiogalaxy.com), and I have played with DC (DirectConnect) but you have to know what your doing to get that to work. As far as spyware, get have no fear, get Adware, it will scan your registry for entires of known shit and get rid of it. (You can tell if you have that crap if everytime you go anywhere on the net you get popups where you normally didnt). Ohh yeah, I also rip a bunch too. Get them from my friends off our LAN. 1) It is skydiving related 2) (Most) All the images that other ppl attach, they are MUCH larger than 7kb. For example - Freebird posted a few pictures of her and her new rig (im not picking on her, its just the first thread i found with images. she is cute too.) The 5 pics totalled 526kb. My image is 6.68kb. So now. 1 person looking at all her pics, takes up more bandwidth than 50 ppl getting my image once. Actually 78 ppl (almost 79) could get mine, and still use less bandwidth. So that begs the question, how many ppl looked at that backside.jog pic (should I figure out how much MORE bandwidth that used than my image will ever generate?) ;) MUWAHAHA Long live computer geeks Derek P.S. Id definitaly agree with you under normal circumstances man, but the image is less than 7kb in size, and once they click on it and AIM sets it as there buddy icon, it IS saved on there computer (I promise you). it is a one time deal. It ISNT linked to the website. (if you want to get technical, it is stored on the users computer, then the image is piggybacked about 1or2kb at a time to who ever the user is talking to, once it is completely sent, then party 2 has the image on there computer. The image is no longer sent with every msg, it is just associated with the users nick in the registry. So everyone on your buddy list who has one of those buddy icons, that icon is stored on your computer - one of the reasons why it has to be less than 7kb. If you want to use it: easy way (have AIM running) copy and paste this into your browser: aim:BuddyIcon?src=http://www.dropzone.com/files/users/forums/2-163614-freefly_buddyicon.gif 2) if that does work, no fear try this: right click on the attachment and save it to your computer now goto your buddy list "My aim" -> "edit options" -> "edit preferences" -> "buddy icons" -> "browse pc" and point it to the image Stop Reading if you hate computer shit (hahaha or is it to late) The one he had on there tho wouldnt work as is (Here is the original). So I had to open the gif, resize the entire animation, clip a frame or 2, and then downsize the color pallette to make it just under 7kb (there is a 7kb limit to AIM buddy icons - to hell with you AOL.) took me a few tries but I got it, and half decent looking. 00 (or 17 if you count the solo action):03:03 I made 3 jumps this weekend, 1 sat, 2 today (sun). Did my L3 AOK, but biffed the L4 first try (Dammit why cant i freaking relax.. hehehe - nah, Leg awareness.) Did it again 25 minutes later (the packers were loving us then - umm we need this in 10 minutes, we just got bumped down 2 loads). Passed. hehehe - but I cant afford to fail, so instead of finishing as planned, Im hitting the tunnels this coming sat. A friend is hooking me up with 7.5 minutes. ;) i dont think I will have anymore problems with the rest of the program. And lots of beer. I spent $40 some odd dollars on beer last night. Lets see the list: First solo exits First solo landings First skyvan/Otter shit I guess it can go on and on. But I bought 3 cases and I think that was enough - dont you want to be my friend - ;Þ So yeah. I plan on finishing AFF next weekend I think.
