I never really scare any one. And it always depends on the person. It's not like I'm going to scare the crap out of grandma or something. And if the person I'm interviewing has no personality at all, I usually just stumble through asking them how they feel, how high we are, and are they ready to make a skydive. Then I turn and puke. But most of our tandem students are fun and I think they enjoy the joking around. -

That's funny. I used to ask the student if they had any last words before we jump, but then I was told I couldn't scare the students above 9000 ft. Oh, well. There went 1/2 our lines. -
Damn! You're injured? And to think... I was going to ask you if you wanted to go snowboarding with me since it started to get cold out again! Damn our luck! Feel better lady. *Hugs*

"I just want you to know... whatever happens to you two, I'm going to be okay." No, that's not my favorite. Just one that I hear a lot. It's the end of the season for many and I'm really getting tired of the same ol' lines for my interviews. Hook me up with some new material! What is everyone's favorite line? -
nunya; 14; 1 business. 14 video jumps. No fun jumps, but lots of $$ so I don't mind. I think 1/2 of staff should go BASE jumping every weekend. for my new camera suit.

These do it for me everytime. My nephew Jack and Goofy. Jack was having "a moment" and Goofy decided to join him.

well good for you. i'm so proud. now how does that help me? do you honestly think it's a good idea to create a website that keeps 1/2 your customers out? i'm not trashing PD... i'm just having trouble accessing their site. i have a brand new laptop with the latest version of flash, and i'm interested in purchasing a canopy. but, again... i'm glad you don't have any trouble. goosfrabba!
-
Thanks, Rob. But that didn't work. Restarted browser... restarted computer..... grrrr. I agree. I hate it when websites force you to have a plugin. But I do like PD's website a lot.

I got an IPOD, used it for a few months, and got sick of it. Havne't used it since. Too difficult to get music on and off, make playlists, etc. Maybe it's just me. But I don't care too much for it.
-
Anyone else having troubles with PD's website? It yells at me to install the latest Flash player... which I have... tries to redirect me... gets errors... and... grrrrrr. Just need to check something out. Anyone?
-
not me!

You know... you guys suck. I never post anymore, and I post this innocent story about dropping by the neighbors place, and it turns to bed clothes. Or better yet... nakedness. Go figure. And for your information....... we punched the cork through and drank the wine. Sometimes, I guess you just have to get crafty.
-
just thought i would knock and say.. hey, got a corkscrew. but i knock and this woman calls out "come in". so i slightly crack the door enough for her to hear me and i say "it's your neighbor". so then she like slightly freaks out and runs to the door and looks at me like i just killed someone. so then she has me come in and wait while her tweaked out little kids, who are eating dinner, stare me down, and she digs through every drawer looking for a damn corkscrew. her dog is about to attack me, her kids look crazed, and all i want is a damn corkscrew. so no shit there i was, in my pajamas, in this strangers dining room, starting to freak out a little bit. in the end..... no corkscrew. i guess it wasn't a great story, but it was freakin weird. trust me on this one.
-
so i just moved and i went next door to borrow a corkscew to open a bottle of wine. and that was the strangest, most tweaked out, most intense experience ever. NEVER again will i knock on a neighbors door unless i'm 1/2 dead and need blood. and they didn't even have a damn corkscrew.

Dan.... you're like cool and stuff. We'll you jump with me? I think you're my hero.

I live in Fredericksburg. That's where the new headquarters is. Kind of a "bleagh" town. But it's only 30 minutes from Skydive Orange, which is a fantastic dz. Nancy did a great job in my opinion. It'll be hard to follow in her footsteps. Best of luck on getting the job. I debated going for this position myself. Sounds like a fun opportunity. I bet you'll do great. Cheers.
