thanks John for the explaination. I thought it was common practice to ask the potential jurors if a 3-5 day court case would be a hardship before selection began. and it should also have been fairly easy for her to get a rescheduling of her jury summons for a hardship case before she even showed up. wonder why she waited till the trial began?

Style and Accuracy - men vs. women
propacker replied to propacker's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I've often wondered why there are seperate catagories for men and women in style and especially in accuracy. aren't those two disciplines something in which they could compete equally? -

Passed Level 7, Cleard to Jump!!! woo woo

now that you have a solo out of the way - pay a little exrta and get a coach to go with you - you will learn a lot more if you are with someone than by yourself. our dropzone requires a coach on jumps 8 - 18 and you have skills to learn on each one. have fun up there and be safe -

Vegas:Best place to go for tandem jumps?
propacker replied to fyrfytr's topic in Events & Places to Jump
isn't there a better place to jump by where you live? it would be cheaper and easier. I would rather support my local dropzone than spend way too much money doing a tandem in Vegas. (just my personal opinion) -

got to do (very probably) the first SCR out of the jet in Quincy in 93(?). mostly all Skydive Houston folks. 10 of us - 4 out first, then SRC maggot and then 5 following. all met in the middle. did a big SCR ceremony in the main landing area that night. lots of people that had never seen a real Texas style SCR ceremony came out to watch. SCR recipient was Tina Fema from Houston -
just wanted to let everyone know what a fantastic time I had up at Skydive Burnaby for the Canadian POPs record jumps. the dropzone was beautiful - the manifest staff was super friendly, the pilots were great, and the skydivers were great. the weather was (I was told) much better than usual and we had 3.75 days of blue skys out of 4. and sunday the view in freefall was excellent - both shores of Lake Erie, the south shore of Lake Ontario, a great veiw of downtown Buffalo and of downtown Niagara Falls (could even see the falls). oh - we even set a new Canadian POPs record of 32 (up from 29) on the third attempt - and held it for 8 seconds. thanks for a great time!!

yeah, poor bill, he couldn't jump at the competition, but he sure did a lot of touch and gos on the runway all morning saturday while we were jumping. we were always worried about a little yellow plane flying around in front of us. and the rumor was that he was the one that received the ticket for being on the runway with his dogs - but not really sure if that is true - but sure would be hilarious if it was!!

so----- you were billgreened! as coined by pirana in the thread about a skydiver sueing a dropzone. (Sounds like a new verb in the making; billgreened. billgreened (bilgrend), v.,
