Proposing a pond a Langar then?

Gabi rents out the Oasis apartments and the Castello Oasis. We stayed in the Castello which is part of her house, the house is 4 flats and she lives in 1 and the others are rented out. Its a pretty good location 1/3rd of the way from town to dz. It meant that we could go out in town and walk back easily enough and if we didn't all want to leave to drive to the dz at the same time then the walk wasn't too bad

I demod a 113 at eloy at 165 + gear and weight. Decent rate was pretty quick but flared out nicely and gave a gentle(ish) landing. It didn't plane out but was not problem to land. If you can get hold of a demo it'll take the worry away - I'd happily order a 113 now rather than before where I'd have been a little concerned.

Not if you have One proper sleeping bag. Kris. How warm are the team rooms, my crappy sleeping bag is only ok during summer in a tent, should I get a better one before I go?

My 107 at approx 1.7 will land very nicely straight in when needed. It's a fairly big jump but is doable (mine was a bigger jump but I had a lot of weight loss as well) I'm guessing that poland isn't the best of places to borrow a 135 for a while. Might be worth getting nice and current and trying it if you can't use a 135 as a stepping stone. Maybe get a demo at a spring boogie when you could jump lots. I ordered mine from stock and got it in less than a week. Would be nice to have some idea when they might be launching the 135 and 150s!

Both are popular canopies so there should be someone at your dropzone who can lend you theirs to get a jump on. Whilst PD don't have a proper demo program in the UK there are some dealers who have them available. Your dz isn't in your profile, if you add it someone may be able to help you out. And just to throw it in again, I still haven't heard a bad word said about the pilot yet.

Would a better idea be to allow free (or discounted) flight (maybe with limitations) to police officers (and families) and they be allowed to carry? On any given flight there would be some or many officers on it unknown to anyone (depending on how it was implemented). Hard to plan a terrorist operation with unknown opposition. Fairly cheap to operate, especially in comparrison to employing marshals. Trained officers and a reasonably good perk for the police. Thoughts?

I can see it but their crappy flash website is such a PITA. No info on the planes other than "fastest turbine aircraft fleet in europe" Free load organising (now that's different, last time I went 2 years ago there was a charge (I think)) End of year beech jumps That info from the xmas boogie link, the main calendar just says more info closer to the time.

I've never though about this but is a rigging qualification in one country ok for use in any other country? I've always assumed that it would be but never really thought about it. Within the EU equality of professional qualifications should make them so but does it in practice. I'm sure many people have had reserves pack whislt at boogies etc but never considered any rules about who can rig where.

There was a planned canopy piloting nationals but from the look of the competitions committee minutes that might or might not happen.

I always assumed that you had to have USPA membership, temporary or full to jump at USPA dropzones irrespective of where you are from. Is this not correct or is Eloy not a USPA GM?

Give parachutecase.nl a call. They got me a demo katana in the summer with no hassle at all. edited to add: as in they can get you demo canopies rather than suggesting that you demo the katana

What happened to the larger sizes of the Katana. Its been an awful long wait for them (not that it rally bothers me) Anyone from pd able to comment?

So you're happy with living in a country where you feel the need to carry a knife (and a gun - I can't remember I you do or not) for personal protection. Personally I'm glad to live in a country where I don't feel that need.

You guys always seem to pick upon the irrelevent points of our over-controlling government - restricting knifes, could care less as I don't really feel the need to own one (or a gun for that matter) Freeing up the opening time of pubs - still waiting 2 parliaments after they were elected with that as part of the manifesto.
