Do they allow the use of base rigs at Lodi? I mean, they obviously don't adhere to other FAA regulations, so I assume it's all fair game? If so, I'll start the bidding at 1 cent Canadian.

Only if you are actually jumping the bridge on bridge day, which is for pussies. I'll PCA you off the bridge any other day of the year, and you can bring whatever rig you want. Speaking of pussies, anyone that takes a PCA or SL above 250ft needs their man card revoked. Besides, that Bridge is made for getting down and dirty. Anyone PCA'd from it is just given entirely too much time to fook up under canopy. Right on brother. It's actually anything above 100 feet is pussy with a PCA. I was just expecting he/she was going to be bringing a skydiving canopy with sail slider and would want all the snivel time in the world.

Do what I do when I travel with my base rig... put it on, strap it up, and put on your helmet. It saves room for your clothes, and looks cool. If people ask if it's a parachute, say no, it's your dirty laundry. Wear a gas mask in the plane if you want to be super cool. I'm actually at the airport now waiting for a plane... being super cool.

Embrace the fear, enjoy the fear. It will dissipate within 20 jumps or so, so enjoy it while it's still there. That's all part of the fun of learning!
