Mike G. and J have both been very helpful both in person and over email with my many questions about gear/requests for advice. Last week, I received an email from Mike past midnight. I've been very pleased with Chutingstar. I wish Google Maps had an "Avoid Ghetto" routing option.

Had a similar experience this past weekend. I thought I was over my cold days ago, but there's nothing like going to altitude to let you know you're wrong about that. Ears felt odd for the rest of the day, and I got a headache. Decided not to jump anymore that day. I wish Google Maps had an "Avoid Ghetto" routing option.

Predictable pattern. Everyone knows what the pattern is for the particular load and everyone must follow it. If the winds shift, then the winds shift. Landing downwind seems safer than landing against the pattern and possibly causing a collision. Also, a separate area for high performance landings seems like a good idea. Sure there is, but if the info, especially new info that comes out does not get posted, the threads and the subject falls way down the list and the whuffos who stumble across DZ.com and don't get the info that they need to be able to make an educated decision on where and where not to spend their money. I tend to believe that if the most recent new guys who posted and talked about their jumps at Cedartown had only done their homework and actually opened their eyes a bit and checked out the info that is available online as well as here on DZ.com, they would not have gone to sLyride, but rather gone over to the Farm. Who knows, they may have intended to go to the Farm in the first place, but sLyride successfully intercepted them. Either way, it's a skydiving tragedy that those guys spent their money with sLyride and didn't go to the Farm. I understand what you're saying, but there is a time. I'm just considering the thread from the AFF student who just jumped at ASC, and a few people posted re: skyride. It wasn't necessary there. Had he been posting about poor service/being cheated then by all means fill him in. But he was just excited about the jump. Just my thoughts. And keep in mind, every jump I've ever made has been at the Farm. Never even been to ASC. I wish Google Maps had an "Avoid Ghetto" routing option.

I think much of this comes from the fact that average people don't understand how ratings/etc work. I understand that police officers must be designated agents of the state and know I can ask to see a badge. A few months ago, I had no idea that skydiving instructors had to be certified by a governing body, much less the details of it. I wish Google Maps had an "Avoid Ghetto" routing option.

I don't know if this is the case with AADs, but new companies can often do well precisely because they don't have to pay nearly as much for R&D. Hate to be rude, but your post is stupid. Skydiving is to freefall as motocross is to dirt. There is no sport in which I'm supposed to like people getting hurt/killed. Just think about your post.
