I have run one of those lifts at work and they are really high. At least for a swaying boom lift. I run 80 and 60 footers quite a bit but the 120 is the biggest I have ever used. (never got to drop anything on a parachute though) Petey

I like guns. I have three machine guns and some other cool semi and single action stuff. I have found that I have been shooting a lot less since I started skydiving though. Petey

They are perfectly legal to own in most states. I think that if you can get the chief law enforcement officer in your jurisdiction to sign off on your application you can own one in California. The H&R Handygun is classified as an AOW (any other weapon) which is a title 2 weapon. You need to file a BATFE form 4 and pay a 5 dollar transfer tax on the weapon in question. Then you just need to wait about 90 days for the BATFE and the FBI to run your background checks and viola you own a title 2 gun. In Texas we can have machineguns and silencers too. They were my hobby before I started spending all my money on skydiving. Pete Keep checking this site for deals on all kinds of great guns: www.sturmgewehr.com/webBBS/nfa4sale.cgi

I for one think that it is great that people in Kalifornia think of TEXAS this way. Please stay on the west coast and don't come to TEXAS. Thanks. Pete

Stik replied to airann's topic in The Bonfire
When the Spurs won the NBA championships back in 1999 David Robinson bought the whole team and a bunch of coaches etc each one of those watches. That was the first time I heard about them. They are pretty damn cool...... Petey -
She's a Beauty! SSM Super Otter!
Stik replied to littlestranger's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I typed in the tail numbers on google and got one hit. That plane was up in Alaska for a while it looks like. A guy spotted it in Anchorage back in 1997. I can't wait for it to show up. I like the King Air but I love Otters. -
Or for that matter, Absinthe? Anyone in the U.S.?

I bought my Oddessy from my rigger. He is a sunpath dealer and sold it to me for what it cost him wholesale plus 75.00 that I paid him after I got my rig and reserve put together. I made my check out to sunpath so it wouldn't cost him anything out of pocket and he measured me and we sent out the order. It seemed like a pretty good deal to me. He was one of my instructors during aff and had a good idea what kind of gear I should get anyway. cya Pete

Contemplating a tattoo, how do you find a good artist?
Stik replied to SkydiveNFlorida's topic in The Bonfire
Look at pictures of their work. The photorealistic and fineline stuff is what I usually judge a guy's work from. Some styles have their own subspecialties such as cartoon work or sci-fi. My tatoos are traditional mainly but I look at the guy's fineline stuff and make my choice that way. I have had 6 different artists do work for me in the past and am real happy with the guy that did my last one. I am going back for another as soon as I can spare the jump money. I used to make tatoo needles (silver solder) in exchange for work, but I haven't had the time to be hanging out all day at the parlor lately. Sometimes the artist will have a picture of the art on paper and a picture of the finished tatoo. It gives you an idea how well he can translate you ideas to skin. Cya. Petey -

Dumod Liner N445DM. Serial # AF 152. It is a converted Beech model TC 45G with P&W R-985 series radial engines. Its the last of three converted in 64-69 by the Dumod corp of Opa Locka, Fla. and the only tripled tailed Model 18. It has a 75" extension added to the forwrd passenger section. My second answer...... Petey

I think that it is a D. Howard 350 Super Ventura conversion.
