  1. Why thank you Kris... Now get back to work. Keepin' it safe! Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  2. See unfortunatly, here is where your wrong Jason. Your perception of a professional skydiver is someone that slaves for a DZ doing tandems and AFF all day, with maybe 1 or 2 fun jumps at the end of the day. Been there, done that.... But never again.... My students, whether they went through my AFF program or my wingsuit program, will always be my students. I offer help whether they ask for it or not, and always watch out for their safety.
  3. I have to disagree. That depends on the type of tandem they are doing. I someone chooses to enter into my private instruction course, they are instructed just the same as an AFF program, less the emergency procedures. Now the "FUN", just for the ride tandem, is something else. But we dont want to hijack this thread in another direction now, do we..... Keepin' it safe! 5. Jason, Out of curiousity, where have you personaly seen this done? Or are you just determining in you mind that just because someone is a Professional Instructor, they are busy with students all day and do no fun jumps? Keepin' it safe! Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  6. Exactly Tom Tips on safety and technique after being instucted on the FFC are always free.

  12. Unfortunately the S3 is designed to creat lift through the forward speed it generates, and possibly another style suit make be needed for the people that are VERY light. I have found that I can reduce my forward speed greatly by dropping my knees, using my wing grippers as flaps and cupping my torso. If I start to drop too far below to get good video, I explain to them ,before the jump, to simply arch and sweep their arms back while keeping the legs extended. This will increase their fallrate and their forward drive. If that fails and they dont respond to you getting below them and not being able to get a good video position, sometimes I punch out my legs, pop up and do a fast 360, while keeping them in video, and then reposition myself next to them but just up alittle higher. Just remember to explain to them before the jump, that you'll do your best to get their jump on the video, also that your body sizes are not the same. Your always welcome to come to sunny California and flock with us here on the West Coast. Keepin' it safe! Ed Cheers www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  13. Well kinda.... Also, if you do not complete all the TLO's for that level you'll have to redo that level again. Jumping as much as you can while in your instructor jumps is often advised for a better learning curve, but then again I have had students that complete the levels everytime they do their once a month jump. Try hanging at the DZ to become a packer for extra money? There is no set number except what is required by USPA to stay current, if you jump at a USPA group member DZ. If you like it that much learn to pack for extra money and hang out at the DZ for alittle experience.
  14. I'm sure that there will be PLENTY there to flock with. Keepin' it safe! Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

  18. SHOW YOUR RIGGER FOR THE BEST ADVISE
  19. All of mine do. That could have been added for free, should you have requested one when you ordered it. The design of the suit is made to be as smooth on the front/underside as possible for getting a better GR, and I dont usually put anything in mine except a cotton cloth, for cleaning my camera lens when doing an instructional jump, or maybe my Neptune which is small and slim. I'm sure your local rigger can add one to the inside of the zipper for about $5.
  20. Nope. That would be my option to hang up. Now that depends on how good you shined my shoes? Then I'd probably tip you heavy for having to hang in the bathroom. But then why wouldnt you just rent a C182 and borrow a rig, remove the door and jump? It would probably take you sometime, but you eventually get it right. And you probably think being a packer isn't either .... Very true. Who are you an apprentice to Glen? Keepin' it safe! Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  21. We wouldn't need it if we jumped the parachutes as we did before you were even jumping. Exactly, optional. Where did you here anyone say we did? Though thourgh and correct instruction is a wise option And who would this be? True, but thats my option. After learning to jumpmaster yourself just about everything else in skydiving is optional. Keppin it safe! Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  22. I'd love to see some proof of it. Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
