Healthcare is not, and can never be, free. i dont mind being taxed for it. Edited: In the US I pay approximatly 23% taxes off my paychecks. In Canada I paid about 25% (but was never billed for healthcare) 7 ounce wonders, music and dogs that are not into beer

What an ass. When i lived in Canada I really loved their health care system. I actually paid extra to get better coverage, but in Canada that's not really necessary to do since you can get free health care regardless. I paid because it gave me better rates on medicine. Nevertheless, i really loved their system. Russia has a very similar health care system as well. Governments have certain duties to its people. Those include making sure that everyone is healthy, and everyone is educated. In our country we have socialized schooling (public schools). Why not have socialized medicine as well. And like in Canada, if you want even better coverage, pay for it. When I was in business for myself, the cost of insurance in this coutry was really rediculous, and it took a toll on my bank account. This was soon after I moved back form Canada. It was hard to adjust having to pay for medical bills again. I am just blalbering here...I guess what Im trying to say is that i am all for government paid health care system....at least for those who cant afford it....and yes, you can have a very decent salary in this country, and still have a hard time affording insurance (which may deny your claim, even though you pay monthly) 7 ounce wonders, music and dogs that are not into beer
