So...? Curious how many of you seriously would do that with someone you cared a lot about and another woman? Most men I've talked to are as against it as sleeping with another man...it's still being intimate with someone else, plus the added "What if she likes that a LOT!?" factor. This sounds like so much fun! We have the kiddos arranged, and I think we will be able to fly down there (maybe? if not we'll drive) so just getting around down there will be the only trick to figure out. If you live in Oklahoma, you WILL at some point get some funky winds...a lot of times unexpectedly. You can have nice docile winds one moment, and nasty gusts the next. I've been blown backwards (literally) before, hovered in one spot several times, and landed off more then once already (those were on my Triathlon though, which was loaded pretty low...which is why I went down to my Sabre). Like Merrick, I also don't know how the he** I pulled that one landing out of my butt when the rotors caught me and tossed me to the side. A lot of people watching said they were crapping their pants watching it :/ Yeah, we all need to learn how to deal with the winds, but setting a personal limit before you get to the DZ is a good idea (before you are REALLY tempted when you are there watching/waiting). I have a number for the wind speed I will not go beyond, and although tempted sometimes when I'm impatient and see others going...I won't let myself take that chance because even 'calm' days have been challenging sometimes...I can't imagine one that's not! Plus watching Merrick break his leg partially because of weird winds at the exact moment he was coming in to land freaked me out good too! Okay, I ramble...sorry...just be careful guys! I'm going to refrain as much as possible from getting into this discussion as it's very touchy personally for me. However, going by only my own experience, I was extremely disappointed. There was no effort at understanding the situation I was in (no rig, already paid for trip to Quincy, arrangements for the kiddos, time off work arranged, honeymoon trip and all), no apologies (quite the opposite really), less then I expected as far as the quality of the repair, and unprofessional behavior. I've heard a lot of good things also about Mirage, but as I said, I'm simply going by my own experience. I don't think enough companies understand the necessity of service after the sale...not just rig manufacturers. I consider the service, be it McDonald's, a car dealership or whatever, a very big part of where I will do business. Effort, politeness and friendliness go a long way...especially when mistakes are made (which happen no matter what you do). We've discussed companies with good service on here, as well as bad. L&B have been talked about many times because they are amazing as far as service and caring about their customers. If you want to get a reputation like they have, you have to earn it. Yeah, it is. It's really not as widely 'accepted' by the men as they'd like you to think either. I've always been equally as attracted to women as I am to men, and any guy I've been with for a significant amount of time knew that. NONE of them were inclined to share :) I can't say that I'm not flattered that they wouldn't want to either. So, like not dating more then one guy at a time, I didn't pursue my interests in women while dating a guy either. Which wasn't too hard considering it was really hard to do anyway in the small town where I was. I'm all for sport fu**ing, fu** buddies and such...as long as your careful. It doesn't have to be meaningful for heaven's sake :) And for me it wouldn't have mattered if my soulmate was male or female...if Merrick had been a woman, I'd be with 'her'...but once committed, unless both parties agree...you are done playing the field (which is a very wide one for some of us ) Sorry...have had many lengthy discussions trying to get a grip on this topic!
