I used to rollerblade around the hangers at the DZ where I did my first tandem while my fiance jumped.I didnt have the $ to start the student training so I just hung out. (useless post whoring..I know) "...just an earthbound misfit, I."

Well,I'm on academic restriction now,so if I FUBAR these grades,there wont BE a next semester...I'll lose all my financial aid and my parents will stop helping w/my jump expenses.Like I said,I'm screwed. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."

Heres a prime example(that happened to me today) of why school is so damn frustrating at times..even if its your fault. Spent all night studying for the final exam in one of my Psych classes last night.I finally gave up and went to sleep around 3 am.Was up at 6 and out the door by 7 to have time to grab a very-much-needed cup of coffee,hit the college book store to buy scantron answer sheets for the test, and get some last-min studying before my exam at 8. Well,when I got to my truck the back driver side tire was kinda low..ok time to hit the service station before goin to the school too.So I drive gingerly 20 miles to town and the stupid service station air tank is FUBAR.Screw it..I dont have time. Got to school and checked out the exam schedule sheet one last time before getting out of my truck.Well shit! in my study-induced hazy I looked at the wrong dates for exams. My psych exam isnt today at 8, its Thursday at 8.Today is my English exam (that I had planned on studying for tonight b/c I thought the exam was tomorrow!). Not only is the exam today..its not for another 3 hrs!So here I'm sitting in my truck slumped over the steering wheel feeling like a total ass. So I go fix the tire,grab breakfast,come back do a mad study session before the exam...except I think I might have dozed off for a few mins. But I still made it to the right class for the right exam on time.I probably didnt do well though.My own fault.*sigh* Well shit!!! "...just an earthbound misfit, I."

I know how ya feel.I'm the same except I dont care to be a JM..dont think I have that kinda talent truthfully.I hate school and,at this point, i dont know if my grades can sustain enough to keep my financial aid. I've been given an ultimatum by the family..stay in school or move out/get a job/and no more help financing my jumping.It takes everything I have to get my worthless butt outta bed and make it to class 1/2 of the week.I'm coming really close to blowing town and going away for awhile. Yeah, I know I do.I've only jumped once in the past like 6 weeks.Been really broke and sick. I would have jumped last time I was there during the canopy coaching but I spent the whole weekend coughing and hacking around the hangers with a sinus/upper respitory infection. I do still have $100 on my SDA account...no no no...I need to study for finals.I need to study for finals.I need to study for finals... BTW..have really exciting good news! Yep, I told him.He didnt give a rat's ass. He basically gave me a "well we hear all kinds of stories to get out of tickets" speech. Ofcourse he wasnt going to just let me go..not when he clocked me doin 76 in a 50.He knew it carried a hellacious fine.Also, b/c it was "more than 24 miles over the legal limit" I cant do defensive driving or defered adjudication to get it off my record or my insurance.I just get to bend over and take it dry! No! The dude in front of me was swerving all over the road and I didn't like it. So I wait for a passing zone, and then try to pass him. Well the f**ker speeds up and won't let me pass.So I slow back down and try to get back in my lane b/c I see oncoming traffic approaching.The asshole slows down! Hes tryin to get me to play chicken or something! I get upset, floor it and get ahead of him.Well wouldn't ya know it...the oncoming traffic just so happens to be a damn cop!
