Dont feel too bad.My cat brought me a "get well gift" once when I was sick.She dropped a big black crow on the floor right next to my bed.The next time she did this the poor bird wasnt even dead.Spent 1/2 an hour trying to catch the damn thing while it was freaked out,flapping around the house and bleeding.That sucked! hmm...this is an interesting case.I'm not going to favor one side over the other just yet despite my own personal beliefs and the fact that I'm a Criminal Justice major.I think I'm gonna send this to my Criminal Justice prof and see what she has to say.Might turn this into an interesting class discussion for my Fundamentals of Criminal Law and Court Systems and Practices classes. Alot of really good advice floating around. I back up everything thats been said thus far.Definitely document everything..porn runs,unsafe conditions(loads,driving etc) inappropriate comments/actions,benefits retraction,etc etc.Write it all down very meticulously..times,dates,etc. hell have a witness sign it or note anyone who witnessed or knows about it(like the secretary who keeps giving the run around).Take it to the labor board and watch them eat this company alive. I have 2 ferrets right now and love 'em.We had a problem with the older one (Brady,hes about 2 yrs old) biting the younger (Harley, whos about 6 months old).I bought a training aid people use for dogs called Bitter Apple that helps stop biting and chewing through taste aversion.Just sprak a small amount onto the area that gets bitten and when he bites it he'll get a really sour,nasty taste in his mouth.After a few tries Brady left his new playmate alone.After Harley got a bit older we'd let him out to play and he'd bite my hands and feet (especially if I had on socks).So we started spraying a little Bitter Apple on my socks and he learned pretty quick what happens when he bit them.You might try wearing some old gloves with this stuff sprayed on it while you handle him so that if/when he bites he wont actually have to bite you to get the effect of the spray.If you get to the point where you can introduce him into the cage with the other ferrets,spraying their coats lightly with this stuff wouldnt hurt either to keep him from hurting them as well.The good thing is that its fairly cheap and wont hurt them..it'll just give 'em a really icky taste in their mouth.You can get this stuff at any pet store or maybe even some places like Wal Mart might carry it too.Hope this might help ya.

I always know when the TV is on b/c its in the room right next to my bedroom.But yeah I understand what you mean.I can usually hear stuff like my cell phone ringing and my moms pager from the opposite end of the house.My mom thinks I have super good hearing or something.Heh,I just think shes half deaf. I sat down today and took a hard look at how my life is going thus far in 2003.Truthfully,it isnt going well. I just mailed off double payments to my credit cards,paid my truck payment and bought the necessary crap for school (notebooks,paper,pens etc). After getting all of this taken care of I balanced my checkbook...not good. I was going to be at the DZ all weekend having a last-weekend-before-school-starts party session,but it looks like I'll be staying home now.I dont even have enough $ in my account to make one jump.I have just enough to put gas in my truck for school next week.My goals for finishing up my coaching and getting my A license before Spring Break are gone.My hopes to have a helmet,jumpsuit and main for my new rig are now gone. Now I'm worried that I wont have the $ to make next months bills and truck payment.I'm down to the point where I'm looking for things to pawn.I wouldn't be as bad off had I not spent $200+ on a friend for Christmas b/c she had lost her job and had nothing to give her kids for Christmas.She in turn stabbed me in the back and shook my faith in true friendship.So much for trying to do the right thing. 2003 has sucked on the personal front as well.All of my old friends have moved,gotten married,joined the military or betrayed me.None of them have time for me anymore now that they have their own lives to tend to.The only person who is still around is my exfiance Joe, who,when we were together, took advantage of me,lied,stole and generally abused me emotionally,verbally and financially.He did alot more than just that,but I wont go into those details b/c they arent pretty.He has suddenly crept back into my life by regularly calling and emailing.He is slowing positioning himelf in the forefront of my life once again.To my own horror,I'm doing nothing to stop this because I find myself very lonely these days. I'm worried about school.I've been placed on Academic Probation due to my low grades in the last semester.If I do poorly this semester I will lose all of my financial aid and be suspended from the college.I am only taking the minimum credit hours to remain full-time so that I dont over tax myself. I'm still afraid of being weighed down by the amount of work I am required to do for the classes I have this semester.I have registered for Fundamentals of Criminal Law,Court Systems and Practices,American Natl. Government and Sociology. They probably dont sound too bad,but the Criminal Justice course can be fairly rigorous work especially since I will have to do a case study/research assignment from inside one of the Texas prisons. (yes,we actually have to visit a working prison...view procedure,facilities,the death chamber and even the old electric chair that was used before Texas started lethal injection.)This is just one of the first in a long list of interesting learning/training I will be receiving as a Criminal Justice major I'm sure. This is going to be an interesting year.I hope I can survive it and I wish for it to get better. *Sorry for the whining and post whoring.I just needed to vent. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."
