  1. This is the best advice. My list is slightly different .... altimeter first, helmet / goggles, audible. Jump suit. I actually think I bought an alti first as well....I would skip the audible though (for now)...to me, it is more important less experienced jumpers get in the habit of checking a visual altimeter rather than rely on a beepy thingy in their helmet...my $2.00
  2. Get the essentials first...goggles, helmet, altimeter Then get a jumpsuit Then get a container, reserve and AAD Then demo as many canopies as possible (if you can) before buying one you like
  3. So sad. Did it survive/heal? It did! A lot of time needed for it to heal, but we eventually released it and I tracked it for a while before the tag fell off.
  4. Back in college I used to work in a turtle research and recovery lab. The pic I attached is of an injured turtle we put back together with some glue and popsicle sticks...cause of injury? A Rottweiler got a hold of it ETA: Definitely not as fancy as the legos
  5. What mountain do you ski? I'd like to stay away from there.
  6. If you come to Colorado and smoke in public, hash oil or bud, I will slap you across the face. Why? Because those are the people ruining it for everyone. I have an issue when kids on the skilift in front of me light up, and the kids that are on my lift smell it and ask what it is. Or because now all I hear from tourists are "This state smells like weed"...and it kind of does...I don't know, my friends and I treat it like alcohol. Keep that shit at your house and don't flaunt it. Would you take a drink from a beer bottle at a stop light next to a cop? And Billy wants to know how hard. For Billy, about 60% Divot wants to know how many times. All day

  8. I spit out my coffee when I saw this headline Murderous Nazi super cows turned into sausages
  9. Well, reciprocity covers his TX CCW (assuming he had one), but if you saw the gun, then he really wasn't carrying concealed. When he got out of his car, the handle/gripper thingy (I haven't handled guns much) was sticking out of his pants and his sweatshirt was making it visible. Before going in, he lifted his sweatshirt over it and it couldn't be seen anymore.
  10. It's funny you brought up this thread, cause I had an, encounter we'll call it, this weekend. After a day of skiing, my friends needed to return their rentals back down in Denver. In the parking lot, a gigantic fucking twat waffle of a dude pulls up in a giant pickup truck with Texas plates and those dumb exhaust pipes coming from the bed of the truck spewing smoke everywhere (I can only assume he has a tiny dick). Anyway, he gets out of the car and I notice a handgun tucked in the back of his pants. He covers it up and walks into the ski store. When he came out, I asked him why he felt it was necessary to carry a gun into a ski-shop....his response...."Can't trust you damn hippies and niggers here in Denver".......
  11. well nz copied everything pd has ever made. so they designed everything.
  12. The colorado law link that ryoder posted led me to a article that discussed the disparity in colorado ski resorts policies that you mentioned: the season pass purchasers have to sign their waivers, but the day - week ticket purchasers do not sign anything. Since season pass holders are largely residents of colorado, this creates a two tier system in which in-staters have potentially less recourse via the court system, and the article theorized that this could be an issue that courts could one day take up. That is weird. Every time I've bought a season pass, I had to sign a waiver before they would give it to me, but years I don't have the season pass, there is a bunch of legalese on the back of the ticket, which (IIRC) pretty much says if you use the ticket, you accept the legalese. I don't have a ticket handy, due to dealing with a bad back for the last few days while my favorite ski area just got 30" powder in two days. This is on the back of my Colorado season pass
  13. It's bitter people like you (and Rush) that make it so hard for people my age to want to get into politics.
  14. It's still weird to me that I can just leave my office, walk a block, go into a store, buy and ounce of weed, be on my merry way and enjoy my flower at home. And in other states, people are doing hard fucking time for the same thing.
  15. Nah, I like Robert...fellow Coloradan...didn't feel like tattling on my pal
  16. So thaaaat's why I don't like spicy food
  17. That is kind of juvenile? Why are you focused on his sexuality, or measuring his balls anyway? closet case
  18. I'll wait for a 3rd party opinion from either Marc or John.

  20. Someone should tell these Dubai photographers that you don't need to put a vignette on every fucking photo.
