I always have used a medium pick or my fingers for a soft sound... reason being I feel like i'm flicking the string instead of struming or picking with a hard pick and soft pick is well too soft for me... but maybe I need to experimant like you!! jason Freedom of speech includes volume

I do a 100% check for the first jump of the day and then after that I check kill line (cocked) pins good, reserve pin good and all the handles are in place... me personally I dont like having poeple flipping my covers open while walking toward or on the plane...thats just me but I know I'm not the only one.... Now I know theres the argument of what if your pin gets moved in the plane.. yes it happens but if everyone was that wooried about it then evryone should be getting a pi check right as there jumping out the door and come on folks..that just doesnt happen ....I mean you can get a check at like 8000 ft and then by 12000 you moved and caused soething to move ...I think if your careful on the ground checking...and vary aware of your movments on the plane you should be safe...NOW on the FLIPSIDE of that if I was to bump hard against something on the plane that didnt feel right then I may ask for a check but other than that GOOD TIMES!!! Now for everyone that wants to get on and say "Oh your so irrisponceable and not safe and yada yada ...... next time your on the plane look around ...I'm just telling what I see >>Granted I'vew only been to 3 diff DZ's but I could probalby count on 1 hand the # of times I've seen pin checks on the way up...does that make it right..NO...but I just call it like I see it!! jason (unload your guns!!) Hey I know what your going through....I learned in a cesna 182 and 206 and everything was great , and then when we had a supper otter come to town my first question was ."do we all get to jump it or is it just for like D lic poeple...I dont have to tell you the laghs I got from that!! Anyway when I saw it parked out side the hanger all I could think of was "thats a BIG plane" and was really nervous !!! But once I jumped out after that,,it was all good....!! So I guess what I'm trying to say is that you just havet to try it cause it is fun crawling around that strut at 10000 or what ever ft!!! Even though we jump a caravan I still sometimes miss going up in the little planes and stacking 5 jumpers on the wing!! GOOD TIMES!!!

Hey dave ..just for clarification I'm not sure if hes looking to fly a horent..I just said that in my post cause that was my situation... again just FYI!

Is that a new rule ..not being able to jump w/out an AAD til you have your 'A'?.. Anyway when I was looking to buy I jumped my container and main a couple times before buying but then when I went to downsize I heard so many good things about the hornets I thought F#CK it and jsut bought one w/out ever flying one... I cant speak for anyone else but I've had NO regrets so far!! Now maybe I just lucked out and I certainly dont recomend anyone jsut doing this but I am proof that someone can go out and by completely happy with a purchase without having to fly umteen canopies...and it worked out AWSOME for me!!! Worst case senerio(sp) I'd have to send it back...( plus the price was a BIG ++ for me) So as far as advice goes I'd say talk to your instructors and do what you feel comfy with...yeah I know ..not really good advise but thats my story jason Freedom of speech includes volume

I got one guy at work to come doa tandem and he really liked it but I think that was the begining and ending of his skydiving career!! Owell..the rest are all whuffos!!!
