  1. Hmm, i don't think so. Because as far as i know most of the skydivers in our country (the problematic ones) they already think they know too much, so they sure won't pay to learn something they "already know" Btw Jerry: Count me in for Canopy Piloting coach any time. "George just lucky i guess!"
  2. Imortality and ability to make my own wishes come true unlimited times. Good one don't you think "George just lucky i guess!"
  3. I noticed you changed your avatar Cool Huh i won't say anything cause we can discuss this anytime, so let's se what pro swoopers has to say. i like the way you're thinking: but unfortunately it's sooo true. seriousnes off Wait what about dzouzi, he's a "pro swooper" isn't he, and he has a swooping school "George just lucky i guess!"

  5. Huh but moving your arms in front of you is more or less advanced technique, don't you think? but i could be wrong.. ? You can also try leaning back or forward with your torso to try sliding forward (leaning back), and backward (leaning forward). or leaning left (sliding right) and right (sliding left). you can also try to do as many turns/time as you can. that also helps with stability and it's fun Or try moving your legs, so on one you're standing and on the other sitting, then change them. like you'd be walking up the stairs. There is plenty more to practice on solo sit jumps... "George just lucky i guess!"
  6. I totally agree that someone can fly awesome but can't coach at all. I've seen it here with RW coaching... But different people like different kind of coaching. Some like army style, others baby style,... So different people have different opinions about someones ability to coach. So i guess my question changes to How much for a great flyer that knows how to coach. I really wouldn't want to pay 2 tickets and extra $20 or $30 for someone that would only fly with me but couldn't really tell me, in an efficient way, what am i doing wrong or how to improve my flying. so keep posting good experiences with coaches and what's his or her price. And don't forget to mention if you had, or heard of any bad experience with someone, like that he was barely flying with you or that he doesn't know how to coach... Thanks "George just lucky i guess!"
  7. I wouldn't know about G3, because i had it on my back only once. But i own a G4, and i love it. Someone in this thread said that the G3 has better backpadding than G4. I don't think that is true. At least from what i tried, G4 has better backpadding, although i never tried G3 with deluxe backpad. Is G4 worth the $300 bigger price? NO Is G4 better? YES (if you like the new design, and cut in laterals) So it's your call whether you want to spend another $300 on design and a little more comfort or not... "George just lucky i guess!"
  8. Huh i don't think that the price 37EUR includes both slots, because that is cheaper than jumping alone (considering you're paying for two) that's 18.5 EUR/jump/person. I think it's 37EUR for his jump and 20 (or whatever the price is) for yours? I'mean that would be reasonable. But of you're right (let's hope so), then i'm definetly calling them
  9. Thanks for the info guys. Keep em coming, i bet there are tons of diferent prices around the world. Uros: What are you smoking man? "George just lucky i guess!"
  10. Hy, in next year i'd like to do some FF coach jumps. And i'd like to know how much coaches cost? how much for a jump, how much for a whole day? And please don't forget to mention from where that coach is. Do you recommend someone particular, and why? is there a huge difference between FF coaches? huh i have few more questions about coaches, but i asked enough for now. btw: i'm from Slovenia/europe and would travel almost anywhere in europe for coach jumps (aiming at sweedish freefly festival 2004), but US is out of options for my budget at the moment. 11. oops sorry my mistake, i didn't notice it was accuracy round . I was too busy looking at his canopy Now it makes sense
  12. so i noticed,.. But why was he pulling the risers still down when he noticed he stalled the canopy. he did notice right, those are pro swoopers after all Would he be able to finnish the landing more gently with toggles if he'd let up the risers the second he stalled it and transition to toggles? i know it depends where the canopy is. if it's already far behing him (lookin from the ground straight up), then i don't think at 2m he had more options. but anyway what do you guys think? "George just lucky i guess!"
  13. oh it's the xaos guy right? i never saw a stall like this. luckily this guy was out of the corner when he stalled it. he was already going horizontally straight over the ground. he was actually gaining height. i saw some high speed stalls when they were still deep in the corner. you probably know how that looked like "George just lucky i guess!"
  14. i found another cool one today here "George just lucky i guess!"
  15. I think one rig looks better then the other. which is which depends from person to person. after all everyone has his own taste. Mine looks better to me. Jerrys looks better to him. end of discussion. Now go on and brag some more about the voodoo Jerry, after all it's the only one in slovenia, brand new and looks great. Mine is more than half year old, and almost everyone got used to it. Yours is still in line for all the Jakas drool, and touching and... about the pants: hmm maybe next summer And i will definitely be in vrsar for new years time... p.s. And i'll gladly kick some asses if someone wont respect others taste. "George just lucky i guess!"
  16. Cartmans voice: I hate you guys, i really hate you. Screw you guys, i'm going home "George just lucky i guess!"
  17. Huh, never heard that before. Could you explain please... "George just lucky i guess!"
  18. from student canopy till now: jumps 0-50: skymaster 280 (wl 0.75) 50 - 200: pd 9-cell 210 (wl 1.0) 200 - 250: atair impulse-alpha 135 (wl 1.55) 250 - 470: atair cobalt competition 120 (wl 1.75) Now what are the recomendations again They are different in every country, and at my dz, we almost don't have the recommendation. actually impulse 135 (1.5 wl) was recomended for me at 200 jumps from the guy who was suposed to be the most experienced at the dz. I don't know whether he was right or wrong. I'm still alive and had to really dig out of the corner once. and really reconsidered my ability of HP landings.. But i'd never recomend me that canopy at 200 jumps... But i guess i'm way above recomendations since my 200th jump... "George just lucky i guess!"
  19. Now that's not funny !!! p.s.: And i hear that from you who loves black and yellow "George just lucky i guess!"
  20. Don't call me a mirage fan, everybody already knows i am But have you checked their toggles. they are perfect until someone invents something better. but you'll probably need their riser too, to put the toggles on them ... anyway if you ask me i thing they are worth the money. Mirage toggles (on the bottom of the page) Mirage risers "George just lucky i guess!"
  21. What can i say, it has been all said already. And don't think and try flying slow, know you can fly slow. be confident, fly with your mind. Just wish really hard when you'll be beneath them. and you'll be up with them in no time. You just have to truly believe you can do it. Oh and don't forget to breathe. I prefer Stone, but rock is good too p.s. and no i didn't smoke anything suspicious "George just lucky i guess!"

    How do you track ?

I think it has nothing to do with palms. if it would be anything about palms, then palms down is definitely better choice. look at your hand, it has a way better profile for pushing air (some would say lift) if palms are turned down. What is different is that if you turn your palms up, arm is almost in the position you want it to be, for best track. all you have to do is push your shoulders up and forward. If you have palms down your arms are, because of skeleton structure, closer to the body and the surface is a little smaller. and the bones just won't let you spread them the way you'd like. unless you're some super nimble. I personally track with palms down, because i feel unstable with palms up. I have to try it more times, but i'm forgetting in every track . Anyway i think that palms up or palms down make a difference only when you already can't improve your track and you're already hauling ass horizontally, but you're still having palms turned down in a track. p.s. tip for another poll: foot spread each pointing in another direction sideways and making more surface. Or foot pointing back thus making less drag from "horizontal wind"? "George just lucky i guess!"
  23. huh, better for you. i bet he was trying to eat you while you were sleeping. did you see those big sharp teeth... "George just lucky i guess!"
  24. The only thing that could get me out of the system is a horible malfunction, or big mistake in my future swooping career "George just lucky i guess!"
