So how's your "Steak and a BJ Day" Going?

I suspect many of us settled for a hamburger and some self-abuse. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?" -
Virginia attorney general to colleges: End gay protections
Southern_Man replied to Andy9o8's topic in Speakers Corner
The Governor overruled his attorney general today and issued a directive to state agencies not to discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation. Here is the first news story I found when I searched, I'm sure there are better, more comprehensive stories out there: http://www.middlenecknews.com/local-and-regional-news/gov.-over-rules-ag-cuccinelli.html "What if there were no hypothetical questions?" -

Sounds like a great adventure. I've always wanted to do it. Maybe someday. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?" -
Us , Homo sapien sapien. We are, therefore we exist. Okay, I thought you were talking about something else. I'm still not sure why this is significant, though. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

You really don't even have to go that far. The chances of conditions being dialed in for life (at least life as we know it) may have been extremely small based on the number of factos that had to be "dailed." However, there were a very large number of possible outcomes based on how the factors were adjusted. Each of those outcomes individually was equally unlikely. One of those outcomes was certain to come true. The guess that most of those outcomes were lifeless doesn't really chnage that there is nothing particularly special about this being the outcome we actually got. Welcome to skydiving and to Skydive Orange. I'm a newly licensed jumper from there. You won't have any problems meeting people at the DZ and finding people to jump w/ when you are ready. Many of the jumpers live in Northern Virginia. Should be a beautiful day, enjoy your jump. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

Yes, and it this particular instance the question is who should be able to weigh those benefits against those risks. My answer to that question is that it should be up to each individual (adult). I agree 100% with that. I think that would be a much better ground to make the argument on than the grounds of whether it is safe or not or whether there are health benefits or not. I actually think the back-door strategy of medical marijuana is not helpful. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

Not every place follows the same student progeression. I'm really new at all this and not all that sure of the differences between the 2 page license card and the 4 page license card but I don't know if they would mesh together or not. Maybe somebody w/ more experience could elaborate further. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?" -

Caber toss is awesome to watch. Seen it at a few Highland Games festivals. Sailing is the sport I'd most like to see taken out. I'm not a big fan of sports that are judged for style, so that could put a lot of them on the chopping block. I also think Biathlon is awesome. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

Finally, a Democrat with the BALLS to tell it like it is
Southern_Man replied to funjumper101's topic in Speakers Corner
Insurance companies give very generously to both Democrats and Republicans. They are equal opportunity bribers. The health care reform bill, if passed, would accelerate the growth of insurance profits. The bribe money is a good investment for the companies. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?" -

Both parties lie. All the time. I can't understand why anybody would be surprised or outraged by this on either side. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
