150year anniversary of the South's declaration of secession
Southern_Man replied to SpeedRacer's topic in Speakers Corner
Yup, you can read the Declaration yourself here: http://avalon.law.yale.edu/19th_century/csa_scarsec.asp All about slavery. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?" -

Southern Indiana (everything up to and including Indianapolis) has a very southern feel to it. and I ought to know. So - um - you are really looking forward to visiting family this Christmas, huh? REALLY excited, huh? Well, I do actually have a couple of cousins in Indianapolis. I'm not planning on visiting them over Xmas, though. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?" -

I've been getting up about 3 AM to feed the wood stove in the middle of the night anyway. I can see myself watching the Eclipse from the hot tub tonight. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

I thought this thread was going to be fast-tracked to Speaker's Corner but I see you actually typed Reception.... "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

How close is the new home to the DZ? Location, location, location. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

Under the interstate commerce clause as currently interpretted I'm pretty sure they could be. I am not sure there is any business that cannot be regulated by the federal government at this point. All depends if you're taking government funding or contracts. The less they're giving you, the more control you have.

Good morning. Hope everybody has a great (and very short) week at work. Turtle. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

Yeah, I've looked at animal bones that are 2500 yrs. old and weathered by just about anything you can think of. Not too difficult to tell poultry from antelope from sheep/goat even to my untrained eye. Not just by size but also by bone structure. I don't know specifics of turtle bones but I have to think they are different from people bones. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

Here you go. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

Must be a new article as I saw a story about this on Good Morning America an hour or so ago. Hard for me to believe that they couldn't tell turtle bones from humans from a very, very cursory examination. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

Where is the "boobies" option? I thought that was mandatory in all polls and you as a moderator should be following the rules. I'm a once a day (at least) kind of guy. What kind of guy doesn't change his drawers every day? "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

Congratulation. Hope it is everything you want it to be. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

I'm not petejones but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. Mutumbo. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

The problem is $1million is chump change compared to the deferred wages these guys can earn going to work as lobbyists for (after they are through being congressmen) for the same companies they gave bribes to...er...directed government spending contracts towards during their time in office. Hey, don't start dissing short people, not everyone gets to be tall. I'm 5' but I'm stronger than I look, don't mess with the short girls.

Judge Rules Against Obama Care Mandatory Coverage
Southern_Man replied to rushmc's topic in Speakers Corner
That's right. And they can regulate under the Commerce Clause. Purchasing weapons clearly affects interstate commerce. Not purchasing weapons also affects it since sooner or later everybody is going to be particiapting either by shooting or by being shot. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?" -
Just how many earmarks do we really need?
Southern_Man replied to turtlespeed's topic in Speakers Corner
The Republicans too. No amount of rhetorical outrage can cover for the fact that this is business as usual for both parties. Unfortunately we get the government that we deserve. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?" -
Hi Wings and Things. 'Twardo. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

I don't mind being in the store when she purchases lingerie, but I don't like waiting while she tries it on. Just throw it down and see how it looks lying on the floor. That is what is important anyway. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
