  1. Just in case ANYBODY has missed it, Lisa Marie (Lisamariewillbe) has earned her A this weekend! And Frenchy ...she makes one heck of a sammich (when asked NICELY ) too. For real. And check this out... only an ass as nice as hers methinks could even remotely possibly get me to post this, my 1st actual STARTING (let alone ever just merely even reading/post stalking) of a BONFIRE thread! -HA! So THERE!! So if you haven't yet... please be sure to pass your CONGRATULATIONS along to our own Lisamariewillbe! You go girl!! -Grant *(Edited to add the photographic evidence of the -now, undeniable- prowess and the capabilities enabled by such a NICE ASS! Check THIS out... the bonifide and certified exit-shot of LM's 25th, and "official" check-dive done 7/17 at 14k over Delmarva. Not too tough a set of TLO's eh? ... Including THIS smooth transition from a hybrid accomplished successfully by said sammich girl, and honorary "mens forum's" foremost consort) coitus non circum - Moab Stone

  3. Every single weekend! Absolutely!! -Grant coitus non circum - Moab Stone
  4. WOO-HOO!!!! ...And a HUGE THANK YOU to YOU too!!! ...For FINALLY on that last dive, actually "working" me Otherwise, you made it SO EASY!!
  5. Careful. That's exactly what I had thought too, with my scenario as posted in my post made from just this weekend HERE. The point is, that unless the landing areas are separated, and is in fact rather a fully single, yet MIXED-USE LZ, oft times Nate, you can just throw "predictability" unfortunately, entirely out the window! coitus non circum - Moab Stone

    1000!!!!

You're about to smell the left over remnants of all my whipped-cream pies, and especially ONE in particular that has left a nasty crusty residue of MUSTARD with it! coitus non circum - Moab Stone
  7. Do you feel Bill, that in this situation it will have even enough drag force to cleanly separate the risers on a subsequent cut-away in this scenario? This is something I have been trying to envision since once catching (at a pre-boarding gear check) that my collapsable PC was indeed NOT cocked, as a "what if" ...but that I have not been able to fully reconcile. Any instances in your knowledge base of a jumper tossing his UNCOCKED main PC, extracting the pin maybe enough to get the container open & the bag & some lines out but NOT fully open the d-bag, then performing EP's? Would the risers successfully release in this scenario & the mess get out of the way in your opinion in this scenario, or maybe not? -Grant coitus non circum - Moab Stone

Wow, and to you too Krisanne!! 128 jumps in your profile now, so someone else also knows the "taste of pie" too, eh? ...Or, if not ...do WE have to do something about that for you? I've sent you a PM now as well, so do keep in touch. I sincerely APPRECIATE all those who have contributed to my jumping "career". Both in person, and in the "virtual" world! As you know Krisanne, I also count YOU as one of those "contributors" So thank YOU for your note, AND your continued (when needed) "input"! Blue Skies, -Grant coitus non circum - Moab Stone

Thank you Wendy! Sorry I missed this earlier. I do not independently find myself in "Bonfire", and just NOW finally scrolled UP my otherwise "prompted" replies. It still remains my goal to become just like you someday somehow as my ultimate, when I grow up! If/when I can do THAT, is when I will know that I have indeed really accomplished something! That is an absolutely AWESOME picture, Gregor!! WAY COOL!! It was indeed one of the most FANTASTIC weekends all around, and I just don't know how I could ever even possibly ask for more! Look forward to seeing you guys all back down there to do it all over again, this weekend!

    1000!!!!

As I've posted in the delmarva chatter-room to those lamenting they "missed out" on the pieing session this past weekend: Once PIED, I'm DONE!! Attempts at further pieing, by anyobody will be met with direct retribution with extreme predjudice! Besides, you've ALREADY gotten your "licks" in! ...I'm still trying to clean MUSTARD STAINS out of all kinds of "nooks & cranny's" us old guys seem to develop and don't realize even exisst until something like this!! You are however my dear, most welcome to join me for my which I WILL be bringing back to the DZ for THIS weekend!
  12. In my eyes, Jerry Bird was (is) a great skydiver. Sandy Wambach was a great skydiver. Michael Owens (our very own MJOSparky) is a great skydiver (brownie points? ) Not necessarily JUST because of their individual skydiving skills and talents (which are self-evident), but also because of what they do (and have) give(n) BACK to the the community, both directly and selflessly, CONSISTENTLY over time. I am honored and humbled to say I have jumped with each of them. There are several others, and many I am "missing" here (probably several big-way organizers and recruiters I should be "kissing some butt to too! )but in all seriousness (again to me) with similar "profiles" of not only HAVING THE "SKILLS", but the HUMILITY and the attitude of GIVING BACK and sharing those skills ...with the rest of us lowly schmuck wanna-be's! Hey, I'm grateful for all the WORK you-all did to actually "save" that jump and for us all to (eventually ) pull it off in the end, so smoothly! I couldn't have been more choked up with PRIDE flying down to that, seeing all you guys, and all the EFFORT truly going into that, and ACTUALLY MAKING THIS JUMP HAPPEN!
  14. That big ol' Sharpshuter above their head is usually "signal enough" for me! To recognize the "non-swooper" that is, ...not necessarily the "A-HOLE", BTW. -Grant coitus non circum - Moab Stone
  15. Why does everybody think that accuracy absolutely neccessarily positively HAS TO BE THE PEAS? Not you personally Kelp, however, it is your post I find myself here replying to, so.... Next time maybe, if you want to show/prove your accuracy ...set up some sort of target or declared spot/landing zone otherwise OUTSIDE of just "the peas" to go for! Land within whatever your required or specified/needed distance is of ANY predetermined (and/or declared) spot (or "target") and THERE's your accuracy ...WITHOUT all the worries! You do NOT have to equate "hitting the peas" in exclusion to all else to show/prove your accuracy! Ask to have an alternate target in advance ANYWHERE and you can do this with no conflict(s). If you're unsure at your local DZ, before you go up ...just ASK! -Grant coitus non circum - Moab Stone

  17. Thanks guys. Although.... And for helping to make me realize and LEARN to re-apreciate that these landmarks are more than just that (perfunctory), and maybe (just maybe) are worthy of keeping track of after all. Oh yeah, and just remember too... what goes around, COMES AROUND! Blues, -Grant coitus non circum - Moab Stone
  18. Looks like the remnants of "Cindy" are ALREADY on their way out... The skies are breaking, the weather is BEAUTIFUL, and the Casa is (confirmed) En Route! Looks like a PERFECT Tailgating weekend about to begin at Delmarva! C'mon out & join us! Blue Skies, -Grant coitus non circum - Moab Stone

  20. The bunkhouse is the old Team Out-There room (and loft). Do you know where I am referring to by that? 4 Bunks on the main level, then a "community" (I'll say no more than that) "loft" area right above it. coitus non circum - Moab Stone
  21. Well Dave, here's your chance! ...Why don't you c'mon down and join in the FUN? And as Gregor points out, if you want to try your hand at the bunkhouse, just remember to bring your earlplugs! ... Blue Skies, -Grant coitus non circum - Moab Stone
  22. Looks to me like it all depends on the "track" of TS Cindy. If it comes straight up the coast, Friday MAY be a "wash". Either way though BOTH Sat & Sun this weekend (again!) looks good. Looking forward to seeing "EVERYBODY" there!
  23. Yonatan, First off, thank you again for having the strength to try to bring things that (hopefully) others can learn from; out of this terrible, terrible tragedy. My heart & my sould cries with you over your loss. I still have some questions, which I sincerely hope you don't mind being ASKED, which could maybe help clarify a few things about this incident in my mind. Again, so as that maybe, just MAYBE I (and others) can potentially also help others, and prevent even just one reoccurance of this tragic event from happening elsewhere: 1. What load of the day was this for the 2 of them? You mentioned (in the original thread) that each was turning to a tandem I think too, ...right? 2. These 2 seemed extremely close (in a personal sense). Was this something that they were also either "practicing" or doing somehow together ("close proximity swooping") as a part of their PLANNED dives? 3. I am still quite confused as to each's set up and subsequent landing patterns that caused them to converge, and sadly - to actually collide. Is there any further clarifications you could give to us on that? Why did they just not see each other? Or DID THEY, and it was instead merely a "mistake of inches" in a PLANNED manuever? Please know that I am not "speculating" ANYTHING here, but again merely ASKING! ...As it is difficult for me to still envision completely how this could have happened, and what to possibly still take from it, in an effort to also otherwise prevent it as a result from also then, just happening again. Ron was certainly an experienced enough both jumper and canopy pilot that (presumably) he would have cleared his airspace (and "lane") prior to executing his 270 "hook" (that's also what it has been said this was ...right?), especially whilst approaching such a (relatively) "tight" landing area as is there at CK. Or rather, quite simply do you think THAT was his (or either of their) mistake? No disparragements of either. Please! Just a sincere desire from this (if at all possible) to LEARN. Thank you again for your strength and resiliance to actually personally give of yourself here to others, and your clear LOVE, caring and concern to post. Blue Skies, -Grant coitus non circum - Moab Stone
  24. From all your FAMILY down here at Delmarva, to all our FAMILY up there at Cross Keys... our deepest most heartfelt of condolences and sympathies on this tragic, tragic loss. BSBD, -Grant coitus non circum - Moab Stone
