And is that why you only have a "1" listed in the 1st column then? Got INTERUPTED did thee? Then of course no more for that weekend! Sorry, just couldn't resist that. Blues, -Grant coitus non circum - Moab Stone

Going from A to B in a timely fashion?
Scrumpot replied to divegoddess's topic in Safety and Training
Soon there WILL BE! The site was Razed (by a controlled burning of the house that previously occupied the site to the ground) just recently, and construction should soon begin. Any further on that should probably be taken to (or looke dup in, as I think there probably already are a few threads going on about it) the Wind Tunnels forum, however. Going from A to B in a timely fashion?
Scrumpot replied to divegoddess's topic in Safety and Training
That seems to be how I remember it too John. In fact, I had done already 4 night jumps (including multi-point RW) that way, right up until one time 2 seasons ago (just after the new ISP had been put in place?) when someone ELSE needed their RW night jump and asked me if I could help out (by doing it with them). When I manifested to do it, I was told I could NOT without the actual B (or higher), IN HAND, regardless that I was already an "experienced" (previous) night jumper. Supposedly, something about the way the new ISP reads, or something. ...So I'm not so sure right now. Might wanna check on that. Blues, -Grant coitus non circum - Moab Stone -
Only 1 inch or so, IS INSUFFICIENT. There, now you've had yet another "disinterested party" chime in. You MAY be describing it entirely wrong, granted. But what's the harm in having a RIGGER take a look at it before you make your very next jump? Have it checked out. Please. ...Pretty please.

Which you would NOT do otherwise either with, or BECAUSE of your Cypres when you do have one? coitus non circum - Moab Stone

Up to you, wouldn't you say? Nothing (that I know of) says you HAVE TO re-open your "fresh" reserve pack job "early" to replace the returning/serviced Cypres. What would YOU do, and why? (There's no "wrong" answer there ...really) -Grant coitus non circum - Moab Stone

And were you "scared" (maybe nervous is a better word?) any more than normal in any way Krisanne, or did you do ANYTHING at all any differently during any of those jumps due to this? Seriously. Just wondering. Blues, -Grant coitus non circum - Moab Stone

Sure! Does somebody somehow think that you CAN'T without one?? Guess I don't even understand the question. Or maybe you meant instead to start a poll (so as to make your answers somehow "meaningful")? Blue Skies, -Grant coitus non circum - Moab Stone

Going from A to B in a timely fashion?
Scrumpot replied to divegoddess's topic in Safety and Training
I got my A back in 1996. Never have, EVER gotten either my B or my C. In fact, only just "bothered" getting my D at all even just (less than actually) 2 years ago. Went 8 years & 900+/- jumps with "just my A", and only then just got my "D" because I ran the risk of voiding someone's record jump by not being "qualified". The license itself, JUST for the license's sake, otherwise to me (obviously) really means NOTHING. The only thing I can say I ever regret (now) is that I was "D-Qualified" when the #'s being given out for that were still under 20k. So now when I am signing-off on log-books & things for some folks, it does raise some eyebrows when they see: Blue Skies, -Grant D-27906 coitus non circum - Moab Stone -

Hi Jan. Yes, your references are of course correct. However, if you read even further, to post #98 you will see: (Emphasis added by me) This was also as was further reported in July's issue of Skydiving Magazine. BSBD, -Grant coitus non circum - Moab Stone -
Hard Opening Injury 24 July 2005 at Delmarva
Scrumpot replied to Scrumpot's topic in Safety and Training
This canopy is in proper trim, at least as it pertains to brake line trim as you ask in particular. I do not think that at least this singular hard opening had anything at all to do with, specifically brake line trim anyway. coitus non circum - Moab Stone -

The canopy was purchased new by this jumper late last season. I will go back and ask to get precise info, but if I had to guess ...it MAY have @150 jumps on it. Lineset is microline. 825 I believe, but on that too I will need to go back for you & find out. coitus non circum - Moab Stone -
Hard Opening Injury 24 July 2005 at Delmarva
Scrumpot replied to Scrumpot's topic in Safety and Training
The following e-mail exchange (between myself and the injured skydiver) describing another hard opening, extreme enough to cause injury, is being posted with the originators (the injured skydiver's) permission. My apologies for the delay in this reporting as I was not on the DZ this particular day, and have just learned of this incident (and gained permission to post it) last night. I will be happy to relay questions, and any dialogue that any of you may have, as I do not believe the affected jumper is either a member of or poster to, these boards. Please note that I will be AWAY from even my own access to here, probably until Monday, 1- Aug, so may also not be able to respond until then. I did think that at least getting the post itself up in the interim was worthwhile to do. I will check back into this then, and either relay or answer any questions you all may have at that time. Why would they need a "silent owner"? They don't give 1/2 a rats ass about USPA anyway! ...Remember, they have THEIR OWN "National Sanctioning" Body (organization)!! DOH! Unfortunately, although it DOES show CHARACTER (and "spine" as one other has called it) on the part of USPA ...that really is, pretty much just about it. I would not anticipate this "action" to have ANY (real) impact on their SLEAZY business practices otherwise, whatsoever. coitus non circum - Moab Stone

She does not wear panties to START with! Hey LM... that was PUBLIC knowledge (at least after this past weekend) after all. There are still "secrets" I can keep too. For a price! coitus non circum - Moab Stone -

3-4 miles or so. I was to be next-to-last out late-diver of the Casa during a boogie. One of those "everybody bombs-out" high 20-something way single-pass blot attempts or something like that a few years back. As I understand it, just as we ALL bombed out, the pilot turned around to ask if all the CReW jumpers were yet away? ...One remaining solo jumper was left who promptly responded: Huh? ...There was NO CReW on this load! So the solo dude, got his OWN pass OVER the DZ, and before exiting was told to advise manifest immediately upon landing that they were gonna have a WHOLE PLANE-LOAD out anywhere from 4.5-5.0 miles! coitus non circum - Moab Stone

Actually LM, I'm going to COMPLETELY DISAGREE with you here, and point out that you couldn't have been ANY STABLER if you tried! It was indeed a BLAST and you absolutely in fact still, "pulled that off" I have to say, rather well. Like I said in another post, made me "work" a little bit, but it was also ABOUT TIME, after having made ALL 6 of your other previous SO EASY! You really did ROCK (in BOTH the air/day-time AND post jump/evening activities ) and again, it most sincerely was ...absolutely, and on EVERY LEVEL, ...MY SUPREME PLEASURE, and HONOR!! -

I do however, girlfriend still, distinctly (okay, well then maybe... HAZILLY ) remember one of us "hitting the floor" at one point! What I can't remember though is during which "tour" pass being brought through the bunkhouse by our humble host (gweeks) that was. Never really thought of myself as a "spectacle" before. Now, by our association, I'm finding myself herein also of late, becoming somewhat of a BONFIRE WHORE as well. Will "wonders" never cease? ...Any need to mention the white bright streak?
