  3. In the mean time....I have also seen people use a pull-up cord and tie the two leg straps together. In fact that is a permanent solution for some jumpers... I think when Jesus said "love your enemy" he probably meant don't kill them.
  4. Also the other one on the show was N8664Z. They are both owned by skydive Suffolk according to the faa registry... click click I think when Jesus said "love your enemy" he probably meant don't kill them.
  5. In the spirit of what crwmike said let me play devils advocate for a bit. Why is this necessary? I am not reading about a bunch of incidents that have been caused by freeflying. People like to have the freedom to do what ever they want in the air. Skydiving is about feeling free. I don't think we should try to limit that "for their own good." Its their choice. Besides, how are you going to enforce this? You can't watch what everyone does on their jumps. Another thing, say there is a more stringent requirement to get licenses. (like the 8 point 4-way you suggested, I think) The other three people can cater to the newbie/underskilled jumper and help them complete the requirement in the air. (ie everyone flying to newbie, everyone have the same fall-rate as the newbie, etc.) Just some thoughts I had... I think when Jesus said "love your enemy" he probably meant don't kill them.

  12. What if your car is broken into and the copy of all your cards is stolen out of your glove compartment? Then that person goes on the internet and buys all kinds of crazy sh*t. The person can then charge stuff to ALL you accounts and that sounds like a mess I wouldn't want to sort out. I don't think its a good idea to keep a copy in your car... edited to say: Damn skymama! You beat me to it! I think when Jesus said "love your enemy" he probably meant don't kill them.
  13. Yeah, I think she is just using the underscore... I think when Jesus said "love your enemy" he probably meant don't kill them.
  14. I think I get your meaning, but could you expand on this opinion? I don't want to assume anything... I think when Jesus said "love your enemy" he probably meant don't kill them.
  15. Did you guys see that there was also a small thing in the Capital Commentary about possibly having a tunnel at the Skydiving Museum near the new USPA headquarters (whenever that gets built)? I know it said that they are just looking around and it seems like it is just an idea now but how cool would THAT be?
  16. I admit that I know very little about the subject, but I thought that with extended periods of stay in space muscles atrophied because gravity wasn't puting any resistance. I thought this included the heart and thats why people couldn't live without gravity for extended periods (although I don't know how long) because it would cause heart failure or something? Is this right? I think when Jesus said "love your enemy" he probably meant don't kill them.
  17. ditto... I think when Jesus said "love your enemy" he probably meant don't kill them.

  21. What about the threads that quickly turn into witch-hunts with everyone jumping on the bandwagon? Those suck. I guess if they don't actually have an attack in them though they are allowed... I'm seeing more and more of those recently... I think when Jesus said "love your enemy" he probably meant don't kill them.
  22. I have to agree with most of what everyone has said. There is no time that there isn't traffic during the day. I think that if you are going to live south or west of Alexandria it is imperative that you find a carpool or something so that you can use the HOV lanes. Thats the only thing that keeps me sane. Either way, commutes are LONG relative to most places. DC=lots of people. More people = more moronic drivers. nuf said. Living in Alexandria is going to be tough unless you want to live in the ghetto or are making real good money to afford the crazy prices there. DC, Arlington, and Old Town do have some cool places for night life, and you can always find a cool place to go for a good time no matter where you live. I think all the places to live that have been suggested (Springfield/Lorton/Sterling/Centreville/Burke/etc) are all good. From Centreville, it takes me about an hour to Orange though......but it also takes me an hour each day to go to work (DC)... Thats my 0.02... I think when Jesus said "love your enemy" he probably meant don't kill them.
  23. Is this it? http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=512508#512508 I think when Jesus said "love your enemy" he probably meant don't kill them.

  25. Which is one of the reasons why I don't like the "Last Login" feature... Edited to say: maybe this is a little paranoid, but I don't like anyone to know my business or what I do in life. As always, just my $0.02, take it as you will... I think when Jesus said "love your enemy" he probably meant don't kill them.
