Tom, i went through my training at West POint and jump there sometimes still ($$$ has been a problem recently). You should have no problem there. All the people there are very nice. "The Queen" of skydiving jumps there and she is one of the nicest people i have ever met.

I am Legalos Greenleaf. I kick ass! I think when Jesus said "love your enemy" he probably meant don't kill them. -
i'm Will and I work for the federal govt. Now before you start booing, no i am not at the FAA and i am not a park ranger or in the parks department. I help make work places safe for workers, although most people think my agency is a pain in the a$$. Too bad! I think when Jesus said "love your enemy" he probably meant don't kill them.

ok, thats it. my parents are still together and i am not a bastard!!! Now i think that anyone who doesn't buy beer is purposely not holding up a tradition that is sacred to everyone here. Funks drinks like a fish on the weekends so there is no excuse. By the way, he has been jumping since October of 2000, not buying beer is a crime!!!!!! I think when Jesus said "love your enemy" he probably meant don't kill them.

Safer sub-terminal deployments question/pondering
wzettler replied to jerry81's topic in Safety and Training
I probably wouldn't do any of those things. i would think that the main pin flap thing and the riser cover thing would make a minimal difference even into a dead-air exit. if you are pruposefully going to do a low-altitude (sub-2000ft) skydive then maybe you want BASE training and gear. That equipment is meant to open quicker. I do think that a bigger pilot chute would make a difference in getting the main open quicker on a low skydive. With all that said, i have done relatively low hop-n-pops (below 3000ft from a helicopter) and just delayed a bit longer than a hop-n-pop from a little higher altitude. Planes shouldn't be a problem because the relative wind (i would think) would be enough to get you deployed. but thats just my $0.02... Have you ever been so stressed that you felt physically ill?
wzettler replied to Jib's topic in The Bonfire
I voted yes because i have learned that stress over a period of time can weaken your imune system. You are probably feeling sick because you have a weak imune system which may have been partially caused by the stress. Thats what i think anyway. Ask some doctors if there are some on here... I think when Jesus said "love your enemy" he probably meant don't kill them. -
We gott add MyOwnWay after that hot or not thread! (I voted hot) I think when Jesus said "love your enemy" he probably meant don't kill them.
