    That's true.... Rhino, you made a comment earlier about people being upset and not being able to handle it because they must feel bad about something. You seem to be the only one judging which according to God is not a very Christian thing to do. You also seem to be the only one attacking others and getting upset... what is it they say about protesting too much?

I've donated all of my baby items and maternity clothes, etc to places that offer abortion alternatives. I contribute monetarily as well. The point I was trying to make was not asking for a list of your good deeds, but that there are many children alive and well that need help. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. I have also taught my girls that they have to take care of themselves...they are responsible for their bodies...I have told them what can happen if they choose not to protect themselves. Hopefully they will never be in a position to have to make a choice. What have I done??? I've started at home...where everyone should.

    What about the children that are already here and being neglected and abused? THese children definitely feel pain both emotionally and physically. Is that your business too? Do you volunteer at shelters or are you becoming a foster parent? Are you willing and able to go to an abortion clinic and offer to house and care for the mother till the baby is born and then raise that baby yourself? I know I'm veering off subject here but as you said.... we are all part of humanity.

    I know , Chris. The thing is.. when I was a 19 year old , unmarried pregnant teenager only one faith accepted me into their flock. That was the Catholic faith. I know my beliefs go against the general beliefs of the church but I also know that love and forgiveness dominated the church I belonged to. My kids went to Catholic school and I was apart of the Legion of Mary. I worship in my own way and do the best I can. I prayed and still do pray the rosary weekly at an old folks home and visit shut ins... if the church chooses to excommunicate me then that is their choice. I know God loves me...I know I am forgiven. There are many "new Catholic" groups... Catholic women for choice, etc. I am ready and willing to accept my fate.

    ON the one hand.. you are completely right and that is uncalled for. On the other hand some religions don't believe in masturbation at all... and it's where do you draw the line at what life is. On a more realistic level... I have spent two days in the hot sun at Busch Gardens with my three children and I am beat , having a glass of wine and stepped out of line.. my apologies.

    Yeah... I was just agreeing with you that so many children are abandoned. I was so thankful when "safe havens" were introduced. I don't think all states have adopted this though...would be great if they did. I remember there had been an unusually high number of babies left in dumpsters, in the woods, etc and a local hospital made PSA's telling women they could leave their babies with them no questions asked. I don't think another abandoned baby was found for a good long while.

    When I met the man I eventually married I told him that if I got pregnant I would have and keep my baby. We discussed abortion before we ever had sex... why is that interesting?

    Not always, no. Sometimes women devolop conditions during pregnancy. I just asked if this happened to your wife what would you want her to do if she is faced with dying and leaving behind children. and I don't see anyone getting upset. I've seen completely calm and thought provoking discussions...

    I understand that fathers are extremely involved and love their children just as much as the mothers. I didn't mean that at all and in retrospect it may have been a poor example. However, I know that the baby is dependent on me for life even after it is born(breastfeeding).. not the father. Of course there is formula but you get what I'm saying. IAbortion is a very tough and sensitive subject and people who are firm in their beliefs are just that ... firm in their beliefs. I would just hope that all actions are taken to prevent unwanted/unplanned pregnancy to begin with.. but alas, that is not always the case.

    Well if you felt so strongly about it then I would hope that you would have discussed abortion with your partner before having sex with her. Not meaning "you" in general.. just theoretical..
