Agreed! Suggesting AnneFrank should've tried to fight the Germans proves that quite a few people are completely clueless!!! But hey.. it's a memorial day, hence the fierce (over)reactions.. probably.. I hope.

There still is.. when typing your reply, there's a link to "Get Markup Help" .. click it

I'm not saying the holocaust is something to make fun of.. A few years ago I visited camp Auswitz in Poland.. I can assure you that it has made it's permanent impression! That's something I'll never forget..

when asking for advice in choosing the right sized reserve or main, it would be helpful to state your current exit weight.. and experiences with student rigs.. Bigger is better though..
-
My reserve is a Techno155. Bought it because my rigger advised me to. Never jumped it though (knocking on wood like a mad-man). Am I the only one on the forums jumping a Techno?

Gratuliere! Enjoy!

Perhaps next time you could upload it to PilotDave's site? (after checking with the filmed peeps) ftp://ftp.skydivingmovies.com/ hmm... INSERT FOOT INTO MOUTH! Sorry.. It's already on the ftp-server I see.. Cheers!

Well.. the easiest way is to press Ctrl-PrintScreen (first press and hold Ctrl, then press PrintScreen once). then start your favorite image-editing program (paintshoppro, ms-pain(t), Word, whatever and press Ctrl-V (first press and hold Ctrl, then press 'V').. anddd...... there's your picture. Blue Skies!

When your chute opens with one unstowed brake, it's very likely to start spinning, right? I wouldn't call once every 60 jumps an acceptable score... Any other opinions on this matter?
-
As stated earlier, that's different for each canopy! I wouldn't jump my sabre if it's packed the way you describe it.. Only got one neck... Blue ones..
-
I agree with Sinkster. My health is more important than the re-sale value of my canopy.. Then again, I might just get someone to show me the psychopack.
-
Why do you think my canopy is damaged more when packing like this? If I roll the nose (as suggested by PD) I get slammed 9 out of 10 openings. When folding the nose-cells inwards, I get real gentle openings.. One other jumper I know (who showed me how to tame my Sabre) put about 600 jumps on his 'previously-loved' canopy without damaging it.. But.. please.. seriously: convince me I'm doing it wrong. BlueSkies!
-
Ever since I started tucking the cells into the center cell (four by four, that is), I've had consistently gentle openings (KNOCKING WOOD LIKE A MADMAN!)..
-
My vote goes to the bouncing titties.. BOOOIIIINNNNGGGGGGGGG!!!
-
Yeah baby! Grrrrreat use of flash!
-
hehehe.. damn.. But it is more likely that you'll have an off-heading opening compared to when pro-packing?
-
OKay. question: Is it true that flatpacking will always give a 90 degrees off-heading opening? I figure this is correct, because the parachute is packed on its side.. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.. thanks. Blueskies..

Well.. I like the idea.. HH is a great guy for making all this possible.. however.. is there a way, us foreigners, can pay our 'respect' to HH in an effective way? Is this paypall-system any reliable and to be used by non-American residents?

HeHe... great letter!

Wow! You were really bored, right? Nice info though.. (yep. bored as hell!)

Hmm.. welll.. opinions are like assholes I assume... and yes.. your opinion stinks! just kiddin' Once you get your A-license, come to Hoogeveen so we can make an attempt to set the dutch DZ.com record (at least five of us at Hoogeveen) to six! Good luck at Teuge.
