    thats hilarious! another option for your ears, possibly could be to wear plugs with o-rings, dont know what kinda jewlery youre rocking, but if a riser slaps you again all it will do is knock the orings off, and youll possibly lose a plug, but they are cheap anyway, usually. oh and never ever wear horseshoe shaped jewlery, because it WILL get caught and you WILL rip it out, trust me, been there, done it, got the blood coverd t shirt.     i had a friend of mine try to do that out of a chevy s10. . . well he hits the box, the bat bounces off the thing, and shatters the back glass. the diver immediately slams on the breaks which causes the bat to come rocketing forward cracking the front windshield. . . . yeah it was a funny fucking sight. i wouldnt have believed it had i not seen the truck later that night. another friend of mine broke his radius and ulna when he missed a swing and wound up hitting the actual box. . . yeah i guess you could say karma is a bitch. Many ejections systems make use of gyroscopes to which the ejection rockets are attached. (Vernier). These help to control the pitch of the seats. Ooh, ok so if it was inverted like that, then instead of coming off at a 90ish degree angle, it would be adjusted, to a smaller degree so you dont get shot straight into the ground? neat.     I thought that was pretty Hollywood when Goose got killed hitting the canopy like that, then I found out 1- Those A model F-14's had flame out/flat spin problems and . . . 2- The canopy is supposed to be swept away in the slipstream during a normal ejection sequence.
