today especially. went to see the band tool last night and it was intense. went to a party afterward. slept on a floor for two hours then went to work. outside for 6 hours. "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."

Yes, but I've seen no mention of losing a shoe in the beer rules. its a first, beer-rules apply to ALL firsts! lost my first shoe on my first aff two weeks ago. no one even mentioned beer. "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."

i've started calling it door jitters. seems like i am fine till i am looking out the door. then i say fuck it and jump. "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."

Out of curiosity, where is that recorded once you sucessfully do a pack job? Is it put in your log book with a rigger signature? There is an A-license card that comes in the back of the SIM that has all the required things and spaces to have them signed off. There are two different versions of the card. Have you gotten your SIM yet? http://www.uspa.org/USPAMembers/LicensesampRatings/Licenses/tabid/87/Default.aspx that is the url for you a license progression card. i wouldnt worry about that till you get through your aff jumps cause you will have enough to do without trying to knockout the card as well. if you do complete any of the card on your aff jumps you can always get someone to sign it later. i know how you feel about the landings. i dont have many jumps, but i consider any landing i walk away from a good landing. maybe thinking of it that way will help you clear you head a little. "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."

3:1:0 on friday i finished aff levels 5,6,7. got lucky and didnt have to do any repeats. my first solo exit was a little shitty but i got stable pretty fast. had to buy my case of beer which felt really great. i got embarrassed when we got down and warren announced that i just finished aff and everyone gave me a cheer. ended up doing sort of a coach jump on saturday morning. it was pretty much docking and tracking. it went well, but i had to leave early and get home by two for my niece's bday party. cant wait to get back in the clouds. know the feeling. i just finished my aff jumps last friday. just remember to breath deep and relax, the dives will go much better. thinking about jumping just gets worse with every jump, but its a fun addiction. good luck! "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."

its an excellent feeling knowing i can jump out of a plane on my own, and make it to the ground alive. i went 21 years without jumping, now i cant imagine going over a couple weeks. congrats to you too!!! "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be." -

it took me last weekend (f,s,sn) and this friday, but i finished my aff jumps. i went this morning and took my first jump unsupervised, and it was amazing. i wanna thank the farm because they kept me safe and well informed. cant wait to learn some more!!! "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be." -
a lot of skydivers told me that pretty much all of their "normal" friends aren't so much friends anymore. im kinda worried this will happen. its kind of like comparing oranges and apples, some people just cant understand. ohh well... fuck it. "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."

about the only thing that grosses me out more would be to have earth worms in my mouth... or pickles. i hate pickles!!! "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."

same thing happened to me. two months later i am 1800 dollars poorer and have never been happier. got four aff's down and 21 more jumps to go. good luck with the "bug!" "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."

i am still doing my aff jumps, but already have my jumps to 25 paid for so i should have my a soon. i am jumping at the farm which is basically right across the street from asc (if its the one in rockmart). ill be up there this weekend. keep in touch and maybe we can grab a beer when the light goes on. "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be." -
i did the same thing on my first jump this past weekend. i was taught the plf in ground school and i even had to practice it multiple times by jumping off a gear locker about three feet high. i was telling myself "dont land on you ass" over and over but ended up doing it anyway. i think it has something to do with doing a tandem first, cause you slide in on your butt. luckily i dont have anything worse than a bruise or fractured tailbone, but i guarantee ill never come in on my ass again. Another first jump at The Ranch

skydiving is like everything else, the more you do it the less nervous you get. you will also remember more. i only have four solo jumps which i did last weekend, but you "wake up" a little more with each jump and retain a lot more. good luck with the plane thing, it kinda freaks me out too. i just breath deep and think about the dive flow and it keeps me more calm. "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be." -
dont know if you can but pot works for me. "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."

no repeats so far. both instructors released on level 3 with solo pull. level 4 was with one jumpmaster and he also released, right and left turns good and even got the forward movement down. we redocked on the forward movement, then we backed off and i had a solo pull. level 1 landing was a little rough cause i came in on my ass instead of a plf, flared late. level 2 and 4 i had a nice plf and didnt get hurt, level 3 was my first stand up landing. it was all amazing and i cant wait till next weekend so i can get back in the air. "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
