Im going to go to the one in GA. THe only thing is i might show up friday night and only be able to jump saturday and sunday. I can get off work at 2pm, and fly to there friday. I will seee about gettign that monday off. I was looking through the events forum, but it didnt give great detail and dates on whats coming up "In this game you can't predict the future. I am putting in my vacation dates for this year. When are some good boggies, that yall would suggest. Perferbibly a weekend one, where i can take off friday and monday. ANy ideas suggestions GREATLY apperciated!

I dont think it will. talking to both transmission shops, a regular transmission will not line up with it. the bolt pattern is different. It has a specail transmission, clutch assembly, flywheel, and slave cylnder "In this game you can't predict the future. You just have to play the odds. "-JohnMitchell

I jumped out of a PAC 750. Was truly an awesome plane! Now I want to find a DZ with a Cessana so i can jump out of one of thoughs! -
The only reason i was replacing it, was because I was told it couldnt be machined due to it being dual mass. If you run the VIN numbers, it comes up with a 23 spline clutch. Thats what everyone is showing. But the 23 wont fit in Ford, only 26. I have called soooo many people. I called the local Ford dealership and they didnt have it. But he said that his screen showed one left in the US. And it was in Dallas.. About 5 hours away. I called them, and they said theres was all 23 spline. I am sooo glad I didnt make that drive!

From what I understand from the transmission shop is that the engine bolt up for the trany is different. I asked him about the input shaft, and he said it couldnt be changed out due to how the housing is. Even the slave cylinder is completely different. I think it would be REALLY hard and almost impossible to find a 26 spline tansmission in a junk yard... Since they only made 1000 of them. The clutch is completely wore out. and the flywheel is kinda messed up to. Two places said it couldnt be machined because it is dual mass. Im not a big car guru, so i said ok. It is a 4.0 v6 xls explorer. VIN: IFMZU62E32ZB67826.. I dont know if the first letter is a one, i or L.. is a straight line. im assuming it might be I. "In this game you can't predict the future. I called them.. they are going to see if it is in stock.. but he gave me aquote for 946.30 + shipping for the flywheel and clutch assembly. Nope. it has a special bolt pattern for the engine. So it has to have the 26 spline tranny hooked up to it. These vehicles ( the 1000 26 spline) were made so that they couldnt be interchanged with the 23 spline... Stupid Ford "In this game you can't predict the future. You just have to play the odds. I have a 2002 Ford Explorer XLS. It is a 5 speed standard transmission. Unlike most other transmissions it has a 26 spline clutch plate and flywheel.. The history behind it is from what I understand Ford decided in 2002 to do an experiment to go from single mast to dual mast flywheel, and have a 26 spline in it. They only made 1000 of these. and then quit supposting them! I cant find a flywheel or clutch assembly anywhere! Have any of you run into this or have an idea on what I can do. From what I understand you cant even swap out the transmissions because it doesnt bolt of the same. Thank you for any help "In this game you can't predict the future. You just have to play the odds. So i jumped there saturday. Was a really nice place! Cool people, cool enviroment. The S&ta, showed me around the DZ, and showed me the landing area. And for someone who is as shy as me, i actually got to talk to quit a abit of people, and got to do a 5 way! I botched it though. but it was my second time to do a big group jump and try and do something. the first time i did it, it broke out the door and we never got together. it was pretty cool flying in a group circle with the other people... Jumping from a PAC is nice. I love that climb rate!!

Thinking about the drive tomorrow to check out skydive houston. Anyone else going to be there?? I havent been to another DZ before, so what will I need to bring?
