  1. Quick and easy to read all 4. 3 trolls, 1 actually decent post.
  2. You can have my Frankenass copy if T hasn't packed it yet.
  3. OK...reference done. I told her he was a co-dependent crack adict that hadn't been laid in a while and he was recently caught drooling over the neighbors poodle. He should get the job. ----- ~~~Michael
  4. If it was stacy from something technologies, pm me her number. it was partially garbled on my voicemail. ----- ~~~Michael
  5. Hmmm...this sounds a bunch like the conversation you and I had on Friday... ----- ~~~Michael
  6. Looped on narcs...cool... ----- ~~~Michael
  7. you're probably looking $125-$150 an hour for this...I'd jump in but I'm swamped (fortunately). ----- ~~~Michael
  8. [Johnny Gates voice]Mary-You're number one in my book[/Johnny Gates voice] See? You've been ranked! Love ya Mar... P.S. 15 days and my self induced prison sentence is OVER!
  9. Avoid the 'Acropolis Sound and Light Show' dutifly sponsored by the UK. It was a waste of a walk across town and the money it cost to see it. The acropolis is a cool place to visit during the day though. When you're walking back down from the acropolis, there will be a small restaurant on your right with tiny balconies on the second floor. The food was most delictible.
  10. Kick ass...Make sure Mar sees this one... ----- ~~~Michael
  11. No silly...with her other two pussys... ----- ~~~Michael
  12. I guess I'm fortunate that I've not had that problem. Rental car agencies do the same thing albeit for larger amounts and haven't had a problems with 5 rentals so far this year (I'm on #6 now and 2 more scheduled right now).
  13. Nice...dispute it again and speak to a supervisor this time around. Be nice and appeal to their logic that why would you have a cancellation number if they didn't give it to you? Is the number you have the standard 'length' (say 8 letters/number)? Is there a phone record of your call (e.g. did you call from your cell)? I'd also drop a letter to the BBB and see what they do from that route. ----- ~~~Michael
  14. I'm assuming you provided MC with the cancellation number? The burden of proof is upon the vendor (hotel in this case) to prove that you didn't cancel since you got a cancellation number.
  15. Not necessarily...The little pamplets that come with your credit cards and debit cards once per year? Read them...The rules are in there. You should be able to dispute a charge on your debit card as easy as on your normal Visa/MC. ----- ~~~Michael
  16. I don't think that was any of our intentions. We were just wondering if she knew that the individuals wanting to purchase the DZ were a thorn in his side. Doing what is best for herself and familiy is what matters most. Whatever decision she makes we should all support.
  17. Where the Sunnyone is, it's bitterly cold in the winter, extremely hot in the summer. There's about 2 weeks between each that are acceptable.
  18. FYI - Pricewise, there's a place off of 116, facility wise, the Riverplex was best. ----- ~~~Michael
  19. I think Brian V. explained it best. It's all Puffery. Business will do their best to attact individuals to buy their products and services over another. Do you use Tide, or do you use All? Why? It works for you? Ditto. If a dropzone directly 'bashes' others, then yes, I do have a problem with that. Here's an example: (snip)we can accommodate persons weighing as much as 285 LBS. (snip) (other) small operators in the (snip location) U.S. will impose strict weight limits and will not take persons weighing over (insert weight)lbs. (snip) Although you may not weigh this much this should be a concern as it is an indication of lack of experience and or the modern equipment...(snip) From a non CO DZ that I do not maintain their website: *(insert state here)'s Number One Drop Zone Their Competition: *North (insert state here)'s Best Tandem Skydives *(insert name here) is happy to report that we have an excellent safety record. What makes (insert name here) #1 in (insert state) Another Competitor: *We use only the most advanced "State of the Art" equipment available. Another: *USPA's Most Scenic Drop Zone (Note: Been here and the view is hard to distinguish from other flat states) *(insert name here) continues to be the #1 company to assist new skydivers in making their first tandem jump and we are very proud of our excellent safety record. Another: *(insert state here)'s Most Scenic Dropzone *The world's most scenic drop zone! *...first class load organizing... *Professional and Friendly Staff Another State: *The HIGHEST most exciting SKYDIVE available *safest aircraft serving (insert state here) Another State: *(snip) More Jumps, More Fun *(insert dz name) students tend to do well on their student jumps for several reasons - --our aircraft allow us to exit at higher altitudes than most skydiving centers (snip) --combined with our highly experienced staff will help you make the most or your skydives... I think I covered all of the items on your list on just a few other dropzones around the country. This is obviously just a partial list of what's really out there. If you have an issue with the way your dz has things listed on their website, chat with your DZO. If you're just in the neighborhood and you're not jumping there or any other DZs around there, your not as involved with the local DZ world as you could be. Individual companies will market as they wish to attact business. Most (this is a general statement and should not be twisted to anyone's own definition - use it for what its worth) DZs will market to the tandem crowd as that's where the money comes in the door to pay the bills. If you've voiced your opinion to your DZO on how they represent themselves online, you're more than welcome to take your business elsewhere. Mar- If you've got a better marketing plan, please write it up and I'll present it to those involved. Your other option is open your own DZ and market in ways that you suggest. It may or may not work. Try it. ~Michael (edit: typo)
  20. Chris was aways very vocal about his distaste for skyride. I'm assuming his widow knows of his distaste?
  21. That's my bumpy brother child... Arano Rodriguez
