I think you'll find that most use the Neptune by Alt-2 (visually and audibly) OR the Viso by L&B (visually) and optima by L&B (audible). There are a few others out there, but those are the two I see the most. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team

Yeah right. After all the smears and mudslinging one atta boy is going to make up for all the oh shits? This election is pathetic. Absolutely true BUT, I still give him kudo's for doing it. Call me naively optimistic that both candidates truely are good at heart, even if I disagree with McCains policies. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team

Seriously. It took a lot of courage to stand up against some jeers from his audience and admit that Obama was a good man, not an Arab, or someone to be scared of, and that they simply differed on policy. While I suspect it alienated some of the hardcore right, I have a new found respect for the man. Kudos. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team

I find these kinds of statements amusing. They're a lot like McCains, for the most part, campaign of "I'm better cause I think the other guy sucks". I mean, really, if you've got a good platform the issues will speak for themselves. Err, denial much? http://www.comcast.net/articles/news-general/20081010/Palin.Troopergate/ First lines from the article: Panel found that she abused her power. Pretty hard to argue that she didn't at this stage Now, there's definitely a question of whether any legal action can be taken as the ethics law sounds a bit ambiguous or, at least, only applicable to financial gain. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
-
I find it amazing that the panel finds that she violated her position of power, only to have her supporters make excuses that she didn't do it for financial gain. Lets be honest here folks, if it was Obama a lot of you would be crying out for blood. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team

PD Factory Team X-Project Update 2

Well, good luck everyone who applied! I believe today, or this weekend, is when they start notifying the first 36. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team -
Is there a 'correct' wing load?
ianmdrennan replied to Deisel's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
From a realistic point of view, optimal is whatever you can perform the most consistently, and safely, with. That said, higher wingloading = more speed BUT your window of error decreases as you increase your wingload. It requires more finesse to get good results at higher loadings. Exactly! Deepseed Free-Fly Suit - First impressions & photos
ianmdrennan replied to Melt16's topic in Gear and Rigging
I'm seriously considering them for my next set of swoop pants (mine are trashed right now). This thread helps me make that decision. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team -
Well, like Mel says it *could* be part of the problem (although I doubt it). Surely your rigger, or someone you know, can give you access to a collapsable pilot chute for a day to test it out. It can't make the problem worse and will at least allow you to rule something out (possibly). In case you haven't jumped one before, make sure you get proper instruction on how to use them. Who won the 2nd presidential debate? 10/07/2008
ianmdrennan replied to SkyChimp's topic in Speakers Corner
Well, across the board (even FOX) are calling it a win for Obama. I just about fell off my chair when FOX declared Obama the winner (which I disagree with btw). Personally I think it was a tie. I thought McCain did great, as did Obama. It was a far better watch (for me) than the Palin debate debakle. A good, strong showing, by both candidates IMO. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team -
Do you have a collapsable pilot chute? Performance Designs Factory Team
-
Yeah, that definitely sucks. It also happens to just about every manufacturer out there at some time or another. Hopefully you have a good customer experience and that the company in question does what's needed to rectify any problems that may be discovered. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team

Lets keep this on track (it's bordering on Gear and Rigging anyway) - PC shouldn't effect your inflation end cell issues. I would suggest that a rigger check your line trim according to Icarus charts, and then go from there. Sending it back *might* be your only option if the trim is ok. As a father of four and a grandfather of five I have to disagree. First of all they are from Alaska and as such are on a time zone that is three hours behind so it was only 6:30pm by what they are used to. Second, he was with both mom and dad in a normal setting which is better than being with a "babysitter" especially at that age. Sorry but we, respectfully, disagree. That is NOT a 'normal' setting, nor has it been for the child for a few weeks. We hold the opinion that Palin has showcased her downsyndrome baby for a while now to further her politcal agenda as a 'working mom'. It's shameless, and unnecessary, for her to do so at this point. She most certainly has the means to make sure the child is well taken care of when it should be at home, sleeping - not in a debate studio, in the daughters arms, sleeping. I don't agree 100% with that, but he at least answered the questions - whether you liked the response or not. She didn't do the same, at all. It was quite obvious she was just repeating the same stuff over and over, whether it was relevant to the question or not. Our perspective (my wife who's from a military republican family and was a republican herself until recently btw) saw Biden as professional, and Palin as...well...a lot like Bush in trying to play the 'I'm the same as y'all card' but just coming off as too much of a soccer mom in the process. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
-
I sort of agree there. Palin did NOT make a fool of herself. That said, she did an absolutely PISS POOR job of doin anything other than reciting the same thing over and over again. I can't recall a single question she actually answered before going off on her same story again (besides the question about ever having changed their opinion on something they held strongly at some point). On more than one occasion she actually had me second guessing myself if I heard the question correctly, because I had no idea what she was babbling on about. Performance Designs Factory Team
-
I disagree . . . "you bet cha!" I also wanna go back and do a count of the condescending wink and "soccer mom". BTW, if McCain is Maverick, does that make her . . . Goose? LOL, true. And the gosh-darnit just had me in hysterics. I'm sorry, but it's VERY hard to take her seriously. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
-
Agreed. Really, while I didn't like all of Biden's answers, at least he actually tried to answer the question. Palin might as well have been in a cheerleader outfit chanting the same phrase over and over again. And while I'm on Palin - both my wife and I are appaled by her baby being there. I mean, really, the child should be at home, with a babysitter, sleeping. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
-
Besides the candidates names, most overused phrases: "Maverick" ~ Palin "Exxon Mobile" ~ Biden "My energy producting state" ~ Palin Performance Designs Factory Team
-
Watching it now. So far, 30 mins in, I have yet to see Palin ACTUALLY ANSWER the question asked. I'm tired of hearing the rhetoric. Performance Designs Factory Team
