  1. Hi, A couple of us are driving down from Atlanta and were wondering what the requirements were to compete in the intermediate (non of us are pro swoopers)? Thanks. Blue skies Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  2. I hate to say it but we're gonna bail on this one. Pity cause we'd really ahve liked to come, but a 7 hr drive for *maybe* (I say maybe cause it looks like consitant rain for the next 2 days) hop n pops isn't in the cards for us....now if it were definate hop n' pops, that'd still be worth the drive
  3. My wife and I were planning on driving down from Atlanta......pity the weather looks so shitty now . Blue ones (I hope) Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  4. Great move. It's no cheap it almost doesn't make sense not to do it. I hope you love your new canopy (I have nothing but GREAT things to say about the velo). See you on the circuit. Blue skies Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  5. As are dirty girls! Performance Designs Factory Team
  6. I get to be a dirty, dirty boy
  7. Probably the same guy who sold the stilletto to that kid who killed himself with 40 odd jumps in Lodi. But you already knew that
  8. I replace my lower control lines (cascades down) every 200 jumps even if they look like they could have more jumps done on them. It costs $16 so I'd rather pay that than have a brake snap on landing. The remaining lines I had to replace after 300 jumps. I jumped in sandy conditions and found it wore the lines out very quickly. Vectran darkens quickly but look out for fibres sticking out the sides of the lines, this is a good indicator of their condition. Saw in another post you're going to be doing some PST stuff this year - sweet, me 2. I'll meet you at the pond
  9. I'd advise 180's before 270's any day of the week for your scenario (Note: I do 270's but certainly didn't go straight to them from 90's). You may not spend a long time doing 180's (like 90's) but it's a step along the way. Question - how did you progress through your turns on your current canopy? 10. try upgrading you monkey!! What I leave MA and all of a sudden youre lost without big brother
  11. Hey Dude, Thanks for mirroring that. Looks like the skydivingmovies version is offline for a bit. Blue skies Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  12. Thanks man I appreciate that a lot. I truely hope to make this years one even better! Thanks. I know his teammate Chris would be happy to hear that. RW??? heh Yeah we do - I just typically dont (something I plan on changing this year too). Hope you make it up there sometime. Even though it's not "home" anymore we plan on making a couple of trips up that way. Blue skies and stay safe. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  13. Yeah man - you wouldn't be the first though
  14. Yeah man....very brutal. How he didn't kill himself is beyond me, although I'm obviously VERY happy he didn't. It still looks like he never got off the front risers until the last second and even then there doesn't appear to be any "life saving" toggle movement. I really wish he'd comment on exactly what happened so we don't need to speculate, but I'd have to assume he was fixated on his target and didn't even see the ground coming. Either way, thank god he's ok. Blue skies Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  15. Here's some video of the incident my friend took (sound and slowmo included). Click Here Blue skies Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  16. I think you're on the right track, I'd just replace the word safely with safer instead. We're all human and we all make mistakes. Sometimes no matter how much training you have things can still go wrong and bad decisions can be made. That said I certainly support the idea that there would be less injuries/fatalities with better training. Of course, that's assuming people listen to what they are taught and advised....which is a whole new problem unto itself. Good luck. Blue skies Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  17. I've been extremely happy with mine (including the spectacular customer service). I've put a couple hundred jumps on them with only one backlight issue (which I now suspect was battery related). As for performance landings overwriting jumps, that has LONG since been fixed in the new software. To the best of my knowledge there are no/extremely few outstanding issues in the software. 18. I'd have called Mike and told him he was gonna die on Saturday if he got out of the car. I'd also have wished him the happy birthday that I never got around to doing. As for my life, besides the above....I wouldn't change a thing. Performance Designs Factory Team
  19. Hi everyone, I'm settled in Atlanta now and will be organizing details with those who've already said that they want copies. If there is anyone else looking for a DVD copy just PM me and we can organize the details. Blue skies Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  20. Sorry folks. Just got the bad news that my Mother-In-Laws husband was killed in a car accident last night, because of service arrangements we won't be seeing any of you at Skydive Atlanta this weekend . Blue skies forever Mike. Performance Designs Factory Team
  21. Hey Clint, When you upload to skydivingmovies Pilotdave checks out the vid for content. Once that's done he moves the vid to the appropriate folder. He could tell you where he's put them. Also, I wasn't actually referring to the video being slow but rather the actual website. Also some of the tables/frames, etc don't render to the screen properly and scroll off into the distance. I'm no web expert but I know there are a good couple people here who could help you get your site more efficient and loading faster. Remember most of your potential customers may not have access to high speed connections and may not want to wait for a page to load. Just suggestions, not trying to tell you how to run your site or your business. Good luck. Blue skies Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  22. Yeah that whole website needs some serious redesign and testing. It's incredibly slow and doesn't even render correctly. Blue skies Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  23. My wife and I are new to the Atlanta area and are going to be visiting the different dz's in the area to pick a new home. We thought we'd start at Skydive Atlanta next weekend (24th, 25th). Anything happening down there this time of year? Blue skies Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
