  1. I'd love to be able to recommend the canopy but I've yet to get my hands on one - demo's are hard to find and I don't know anyone at any of the dz's I jump at jumping one. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  2. not sure but I have been in shorts and t-shirt every weekend so far. I expect the ground temps will be in the mid to low 70's during the day so altitude has been quite nice. Few seconds of cool air after the door opens but quite pleasant. As always though, bring warmer clothes just in case. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  3. Check out the Blade by HyperUSA. Give BeezyShaw a PM he'll hook you up. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  4. Like an absolute dream. I was very impressed with the Blades openings. Beezy Shaw (posts here) can hook you up with a demo. edit: the username to look up is beezyshaw Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  5. HA!!! You left us all on our own anyway!!!! Next time gonna leave us in someone elses house?? Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team

  10. Hi, The ZP.EXE is NOT an elliptical canopy. It's much more like a Sabre2 than the original Sabre. The openings are good (although I've heard of a few that were crackers) so demo the canopy if you can. Considering the resale value of a sabre1 vs the ZP.exe I don't think there's much difference so you wouldn't be hurt in that department. Try organize a chance to jump it before you buy it if you can to make sure it's a nice opening one (and that you like it). Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  11. This is exactly why I hate the word underloading. It's gotten an implied negative meaning and starts making people second guess their decisions (maybe even increase their loading?), this is not the case. You can safely jump a canopy at less than 1:1 no matter what you might read on these forums. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  12. Yes. If you clip the grass, barely touch a toe, etc before the gate it's a big fat ol' zero - if you do it 5ft past the gate and then go another 300 ft, it's still a 5 ft swoop according to the rules. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  13. Tagel has been making quite a name for himself and Kevin Love is a member of Team Mirage with Jason Eames, Hans Paulsen and Dave Hebert. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  14. It's PEOPLE Mark and that's OK - we still like you (I think I'm going to hell for saying this) even if you don't play well with others
  15. Good canopy pilots don't try pressure people into going to smaller canopies, especially when they have no idea about the person, or their skills. Skymama is JUST FINE under what she's jumping. As for the Freefly festival, hope to see you there. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  16. Stabbing is never good. Smooth is the key. Apply the rear riser pressure higher and more smoothly, it'll make your landings much better. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  17. Nice Chris, I was just about to post this Is the most critical error IMO. EVERY pilot WILL turn low at some point, realizing you're low and trying to do something about it (toggle flare, etc) early enough is the key to keeping the damage minimal to zero. Piish, glad you're ok. Forget about rears for now - I don't know why everyone is so obsessed with using them now anyway. Most people using them have terrible toggle technique so why they think rears are gonna be any better is beyond me. I shitty rear riser swoop is not nearly as good as a decent toggle swoop (not saying you have shitty toggle swoops btw, just a general observation
