  1. Agreed. Chris, what about an "incentive bonus" for the pilots. Say a 10ft gate that they get additional score for if they hit it? That way you can still score them, but encourage them to hit the gates. Just thinking out loud.
  2. Ahhh ok. I'm getting your drift now. Thanks for clearing that up. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  3. I know it's your party Chris, but no height requirement?? Are you going to score that against the other 2 classes (ie is it still 1 total score?). If so, is that realistic? Also, what's the point in removing the verticle component? How do you plan on scoring that class fairly and accurately? Blues, Ian ps: I asked these publicly cause I suspect I'm not the only one wondering this stuff so you can address us all at once. Performance Designs Factory Team

  5. The best part about not being allowed to vote is I get to poke fun at all of you. Seriously though - I'm actually kinda glad I can't this time round (should be citizen next time around). It's a difficult choice either way IMO. I've said it once I'll say it again. It's like putting both your balls on the chopping block and being asked to vote for which one to cut off.
  6. We can add Chris and Brooke to that list as well....come on folks, any more takers? Chris Brooke Brandoliem BkDice JMFreefly Doublespock CCowden Melstarr Volo Ianmdrennan mindway69 Tami (Carbonezone) Scotty (Carbonezone)
  7. That's cause not everybody likes FUCKING TECHNO! Goddamn I dunno what the hell it is with Atlanta folk and their techno crap. Every now and then, sure, but all the goddamn time?!?!? Oh....and it's league Regardless we'll all have fun! See you soon! Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team

  9. Depends on how you define performance. Better swoops than the Katana - not in my opinion. Better openings - yes, and more responsive on toggles. Rear riser input is very easy to stall the canopy with, much more so than the Katana, Velocity, Sabre2, etc. Both are good canopies, I personally prefer the Katana but I thought the Blade was fun to fly. In the end it all depends what you're looking for. Beezy Shaw is easy to get demo's from (Blade) and of course PD's demo program + service is top notch. Demo them both one may fit your style more than the other. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  10. yep. Never watched crossfire before but it was funny to see those little chumps get schooled. He's a smart guy to go toe to toe with. You'd better be better prepared than giving him shit for asking "How you doing?". Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  11. Yeah I hear ya - orginally I had as non PC as you could get. In fact it was so offensive that it was suggested that I don't use it Now I just got a regular run of the mill costume, so those co-ed showers better make up for it
  12. Smart man. That's an awful lot of faith to place in airlocks. If the conditions are such that you feel you "need" airlocks then maybe jumping isn't the best thing to be doing just then. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  13. God I wish.....everything seems like it's crawling!! Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  14. Amen. I saw Craig do some amazing stuff with his stiletto out in Eloy at the xmas boogie last year. I think Pete is on a velo now (or at least he has one) cause he used one in a FLCPA meet in the beginning of the year. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  15. Hi, Yep Marks is right you'll need to pay a registration fee for food, etc. I believe, at this point, it's the same for jumpers/non-jumpers. See you all soon. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  16. I don't personally know of anyone coming from that area, but all we can do is hope someone from dz.com is heading out this way from there. I really hope you decide to come, I think it'll be worth the effort
  17. Hey Phree, Couple of things to comment on here: Nope - I've done the entire ZA course on my wife's Katana 107 in zero to light winds (not downwind). It's quite do-able as is the speed carve. With the 10 foot gates in intermediate it's definately accomplishable. Seriously dude if you can hit the gates consistently you can do just fine. Most of us screw up at LEAST one round (except those damn PD guys....and even then they make mistakes too!). Competition isn't about how far or fast you can swoop the beer line. It's about how consistently and accurately (both verically and horizontally) you can enter the course. A guy at our DZ regularly makes at LEAST zone 1, normally Z2 on the ZA course on his CF2 109. It's doable. You just gotta get out there and do it
  18. isn't not doing that that what just got you in trouble Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  19. Nope - he's been gone for some time now I believe. If you're in GA you'd have better luck coming to Thomaston and hook up with John Pinyon (formerly from Wicked Liquid) who's almost always around for great advice and LO. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  20. I agree with everything except the rear riser transition. It was nearly identical to my velo and didn't require any unusual amount of brakes, unless I botched it and hung on the rears too long - that was my experience with it anyway. I think they're a wonderful canopy, I was very very impressed with what it could do. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  21. I'm sure there'll be a couple of folk down there. The king air will fly if there are people to make it fly on Friday morning that's for sure!! Doublespock, myself and Chris will be there before noon on Friday! Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
