  6. Hi all! Just a reminder to all of you attending the Giveback Camp this weekend that we’ll be starting at 9am on Saturday and Sunday. We’ll all be there Friday night getting ready for the weekend so feel free to come on our early and join us!! Just a reminder of the format: * The coach pays their own slot. * Each jumper pays their own slot. * The cost of the coaches pack job is divided amongst all the people in the group the coach is working with. For example, 1 on 1 coaching means the jumper pays 5, but a 5 way with the coach means each jumper pays 1 dollar. Basically we’re trying to keep any additional cost to jumpers down. The pack jobs are necessary so the coach has enough time to debrief the group and go up on a load with another group. * Groups are going to be divided into tiers. Each tier will have different objectives and skill requirements. For example, Tier 1 will be one on one coaching. Tier 2 will be smaller (2-4 way) freefly dives (normally all in the same orientation). Tier 3 will be multi orientation, multi jumper dives. * Each tier will have the same coach for the entire day. The next day the coaches will all rotate to a different tier. * Whenever possible the coach will NOT be a part of the dive. The coaches objective on the dive is get debriefable video whenever possible. * Event begins at 9am on Saturday and Sunday. * Everybody is welcome, regardless of skill level. * Bring your jumping shoes cause even if you're not on rotation with a coach for a load or two, we don't want ya sitting around - get up there and PRACTICE As there are only 2 coaches available this weekend slots MAY be limited. Please let us know if you plan on attending and how many coach jumps you’d like to do. See you there! Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team

  8. Michelle, You know I know the people up there and if someone is telling you to downsize cause you're not loaded enough, ignore them. Period. There is no need to downsize rapidly. Learn what you can on your current canopy. Until you find that you are unable to accomplish what you'd like to on your current wing AND can safely move to the next size you should stick with what you have. As always, you have my email, let me know if you need anything. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  9. Not yet, but I'm expecting it to happen sometime soon
  10. Being Married Rules:10:1 10 jumps, 3 of them onto the lake front in Milwakee (sp?) in front of 200000+ people. Pics coming soon
  11. It's Drennan Yes extremely. The level of safety shown by the competitors was spectacular. I am extremely proud of those who aborted their runs in the challenging conditions for the safety of the spectators and themselves. It was a demo first and foremost, so it's great to see people flying with good heads on their shoulders. I know you guys did, but it was a pleasure to get you all blasted The hangover comes with special compliments Special thanks to Skyknights for their hospitality and probably the coolest demo I've ever done. 200,000+ screaming people is a sight to behold! 12. It seems a lot of people think that because the Katana is not a X-braced canopy that it's a Stiletto like replacement. It is CERTAINLY NOT and is just barely below a X-brace in it's performance characteristics. That and people want the hottest new toys. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  13. Will do. Thanks Boet. Performance Designs Factory Team
  14. When it comes out. Till then that's not a deciding factor when purchasing what's on the market right now. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  15. The pro-track, and the neptune, only store detailed graph data (accessible through paralog or such) for the last 10 dives. I believe that's what he's getting at. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  16. I think what he's trying to say is that a short recovery arc canopy can be swooped far and well. I agree with him. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  17. Extra rolls or super tight rolls aren't going to do anything to keep the canopy from opening slower. They often, like a psycho pack, help packers keep control of the slider placement which is important for good openings. All that, all that will happen is that you'll feel the deployment sequence begin (bag lifting off) and then have a period of 'inactivity' while the air works out the rolls and then the deployment begins as it normally would have. This period of inactivity is where the cocooned canopy can spin up. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  18. Hey HH, For the last 2 weeks I've been unable to access this site from work (not necessarily a bad thing ) but anyway...I know we don't block any sites at all so I did a trace and came back with the following: Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600] (C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp. tracert www.dropzone.com Tracing route to www.dropzone.com [69.28.204.81] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 1 ms

  20. In South Africa (and other places too) it's the 100 jump tradition, not a pie. I've done mine and been on 3 friends ones when I was back there. Personally I think it's a great idea.
  21. Not this time sweety. No cowboys and indians for us Performance Designs Factory Team
  22. Yeap. I've made a great living from MS and have been lucky enough to be coding Enterprise Applications since VS2000. Right now VS Whidbey is a nifty tool and the .NET 2.0 framework promises to be good
