    The reason "Blacks" use the term "African-American" is it is an attempt to connect them to a history, culture, ancestry that was stripped from us during the slave trade. There is a quote that goes "you end where you begin" if our history begins with our arrival in America then we end with a slave mentality.     I disagree with this statement because I think newer jumpers have always had an AAD. And should have been taught not to rely on it. I've always had an AAD but would jump without it in a heartbeat because once again I was taught turn it on (and for all intensive purposes) forget about it. Blue Skies Black Death

    Don't tell anybody but it took me 15 jumps to finish an 8-jump course would have to check my logbook to see exactly what jumps I got stuck on. My problem was performance anxiety (performing for the instructor well enough to pass) I had to remind myself that I wasn't retarded and I didn't have any physical ailment that would keep me from performing any of the body movements necessary for skydiving.     In that case, perhaps someone should propose reparations for the North American Indian. I dont think anyone would argue that the blacks were very badly treated, but I think the Indians were treated worse.*** Agreed one of the biggest arguments I ever got into was with a guy of native american descent. I suggested that any Fight Blacks take up for non-discrimination or fair treatment native american should be on the front lines.     completely off the subject here. But the reason there's a huge difference in spending in school districts is the fact that the richer districts are able to. in most places funding for schools comes from local property taxes as well as state and federal. In poorer areas where everybody rents and has no real assets to be taxed, there is just no money.     Well if it's true it's true. Just because you personally wouldn't complain that's your choice. But don't put down other people for taking a stand. So when Black people are being treated unfairly or unjust what should we do? Or better yet answer this Hypothetical for me. What would you do if you learned that the school board spends $75,000 per child in the predominately black school district? but only spends $35,000 in the predominately white district in which your child attends.
