My wife (who is Black) was told by a counselor (a White woman) that she didn't have what it took to become a doctor. My wife being young and impressionable assumed the counselor who had seen 1000's of students before her was right. As it turns out this counselor never recommended any Black students go into medicine and was subsequently removed from her position. Those Black students were denied the opportunity to apply to Med. School and possibly become physicians because they took the advice of a racist counselor. Blue Skies Black Death

Thus the need for NAACP, PUSH,...etc. Those organization have the resources to bring national attention to the "assholes". My buddies and Myself not supporting a Wal-Mart, Target, or General Motors wouldn't do much to change their policies. Blue Skies Black Death

General questions for the Board: When blacks are discriminated against what should we do? I ask because many have criticized the NAACP, ACLU, Jesse Jackson...etc. My other question is how do we combat discriminatory hiring practices? Blue Skies Black Death

The point I was trying to make is: He's not considered a sellout because of his accomplishments but because of his views or policies. Personally I don't know if he's a sell out or not I do not know him. I had a problem with the statement that he is considered a sell out because of his success. Blue Skies Black Death

OK heres the solution for the next 300 years Black owned companies shall have Free White labor. Whites shall not have the right to vote for the next 400 years. With this I agree when the conversation is about Skydiving. When then conversation turns towards how hot Katie Holmes is or how awesome the XXXXXXXX Band is I tend to feel a little left out. Reverse the situation lets say you were to take up tidlywinks.....but all of the tidlywinks parlors are dominated by plutonians. After a good day of tidlywinks everyone is cooling out by the fire. Now the plutonians aren't trying to exlude you but they do tend to talk about pluto quite often. you try to understand and contribute but you just don't know that much about pluto.
