Why is it any different than a mandatory sevice bulletin, such as the Raven bar tacks? We as the owner of said equipment had to pay to get that done or not jump. Would you fly in an airplane that did not have the regular maintenance done as scheduled (WITHOUT YOU RIG)?? Point is, you could ALWAYS have your rigger pull out the AAD instead of paying for the maintenance. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy..
