yep yep yep... I made the mistake of taking my d bag out of the container to clean the container and should have repacked it. Before putting it back in, it looked like the PC went thru the line set so I pulled it (OUT) except it tuned out to be thru.... My next jump, I looked up and the risers were completely twisted. The canopy looked fine otherwise so I left the brakes stowed ( it llooked like it would complicate things with the risers twisted around ) and did my checks using the rear risers. Figured I could land it as is and went for it. (that Danged BillVon, his name keeps popping in my head when the wierd stuff happens under canopy.. drives me nuts, ya know? I stream MP3's and video from a server in my basement over a B network and haven't had any problems whatsoever. I have 2 gateways on opposite sides of the house each on different floors. works like a charm. I'll third the hybrid network. I'd also put in a gateway per floor, or at least one on the top fllor and one in the basement. Just make sure the network and WEP are the same and they're setup for different channels and you'll pick up the strongest signal I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. Yeppers, happened to me 2 summers ago. Where I jump, they kinda taught you to use the edges of the fields as your downwind, crosswind patterns. The way I figured it, the bet place to go hunting for mice n stuff would be along the fence lines where there's more shade and hiding spaces.and that's why the hawk was flying the pattern too... Hmmm.... I know there is one in Concord out on Hwy 4, There's also one RIGHT next to SkyDance in Davis, so if you REALLY want to, you can shoot n jump all in the same day. I'll second this... When you start freeflying, you need to have a "NEUTRAL" position. Normally, that would be your typical boxman. Everything falls to Sh*T, whaddya do? ARCH and get stable. but in freeflying, (as I'm sure you know) getting on your belly can be disastrous when you're jumping with others. Learning to sit becomes the new neutral. I'll also 2nd what some others have said about learning to sit, arms out 90 degrees, pull you legs up to your chest, you'll feel your self rotate into the sit (USE THIS as your neutral until you get the hang of it..) Now, push your legs down symetrically, trying to keep your balance. If you start getting unstable, bring you legs back up to your chest. a REALLY good FF once told me (wink 2 bets) your legs are basically a stump in sit flying.
