No, I never checked SkyDance Teri. The news report only mentioned LLNL and the three airports near it. There isn't any other nuclear PP's in the vicinity tho. I did get an e-mail from SkyDance announcing the $16 Sundays today but I'll call tomorrow just to make sure. IF they are ROAD TRIP!!!!!!! So only one more Therapy session for you? I was watching the news last night and supposedly the FAA imposed new restrictions effectively closing all airports within 10miles of a nuclear power facility. They mentioned that Lawrence Livermore labs has one and that Livermore, Byron and one other Airport will be closed til Nov7. Anybody else hear this?

Okay, first off, I remember the thread about women vs men landings and PLEASE, let's not start that again!!!! Teri, I know we've talked about this already, and from what I've seen, I think it's all in the timing for you. The landing I saw a couple of weeks ago, you were flaring 10-15 too high. Everyone has good advice here, and I'll throw mine in as well. 1)Practice flaring up high. Wait til you feel that canopy stall as well. And YES, I will be asking you 2) WATCH for point that doesn't move, that's where you are going to land, Eyes UP!!! 3) From what we've talked about, it sounds like you tend to flare too high as opposed to last weekend. If it were me, I'd go back to that point where I am flaring too high, except count to two (I think someone said three)THEN flare 3)Always be ready to PLF. 4) Keep asking for advice. Actually it has been done. I thought the article was here on Dropzone.Didn't Troy Hartman do it? Basically, They put a drogue on a Porter and put it into a dive. I think they jumped from one plane and flew into the Porter.

I read in the paper today that everyone is bailing on Micheal Jackson for his concert. Seems everyone would rather hang out with Paul McCartney

the way it was explained to me is that you are already traveling at about 110 mph when you leave the plane. When you leave, you only gain about 10 mph (belly flying) . the difference in speeds isn't that great so you don't feel it. If you BASE jump or out of somethign stationary, like a balloon, then you would get the feeling in your stomach.

I jump at SkyDance although Ihaven't been up that way for about a month :( I was hoping to ju,p this last weekend, but we all know how that went... So who did you jump with? Byron Boys Boogie is end of this Month if they can fly :(. SKyVan Loads!!!!!!

I'm also wondering if the fact that a LOT of the Old newbies tended to lurk for quite a bit before posting made a difference. It seemed like when you first got here, you would hang out andjust watch what was going on and finding out wwho was who, kinda like when we first started skydiving. But then again, I feel like a newbie again since it's been so long since I've posted..... Eh.... what do I know :)
