you're predicting more unemployment but not telling when it has happened before - it's a myth in the uk we first introduced a minimum wage (about $8/hour and a national health service thrown in) only a few years back and unemployment went down - strange if you set the minimum wage too low all you do is suck spending power out of those who would most use/need it (decreasing the velocity of money) and drag in vast amounts of migrant labour to work stay away from moving propellers - they bite blue skies from thai sky adventures good solid response-provoking keyboarding

the new 'new deal' should obviously include a substantial increase in the minimum wage (at least doubling it). this will have the benefit of fewer workers drawing government benefits, reducing the demand for migrant labour and increasing the velocity of money (helping fight deflation) stay away from moving propellers - they bite blue skies from thai sky adventures good solid response-provoking keyboarding
