  1. An update on the cyber attack at the Mountain News over DB Cooper: ...well, now I can't get any of the clicky stuff going... http://themountainnewswa.net/2013/01/20/the-hunt-for-db-cooper-update-on-the-recent-cyber-attacks-at-the-mountain-news/
  2. QuoteBlevins, What does your Seattle cop friend think about this? http://youtu.be/5mvLw2ksPz0 Quote Although the incident seemed to be a tragic miscarraige of justice, some aspects surprised me. One of the things that sttruck me was the fact that the two bicycle cops were among the first to arrive. Also, so few by-standers gathered. And where was EMS?
  3. I read your account. If not something more personal, at the least it sounds like you might have malware and/or a nasty virus. Either can get into your files and your registry and wreak all kinds of havoc. I would take my computer to someone that can "deep clean" it, then make sure you have a firewall and good antivirus program. And Backup your documents on an external drive. (Spoken by someone who learned the hard way)
  4. I must be getting close to something or someone. I have come under cyber attack regarding my investigation of DB Cooper. You can read about the frist round of action at the Mountain News: I can see that I am unable to get my clicky function working again, too! 5. Interesting video. Do disc jockeys always sound so deep voiced and self-assured or is it just when the On Air sign is on. I always imagine that the minute the sign is off, the guy takes a deep breath and then sounds like the rest of us.
  6. Quote Thanks, Dave. I figured someone would come along and fix things.
  7. Clyde Lewis, the host of the Ground Zero talk radio show, has produced a superbly crafted video drawing from one of his recent DB Cooper forums. It includes snippets from Ariel and Cooper Daze, along with follow-up discussions with Galen, myself and journalist Dave Paul. Robert Blevins is also featured. Topics include Gossett and Christiansen as suspects, what has happened to Tina, and the significance of Letter #3. It runs about 15 minutes. I can't get the clicky to work despite numerous attempts to correct it. I suggest you cut and paste the URL into Google. http://www.groundzeromedia.org/videos/ground-zero-behind-the-scenes/ground-zero-disclosure-d-b-cooper-investigation/
  8. With the flurry of activity surrounding the case over the past couple of weeks, I've decided to reframe the opening chapter of my book. The new chapter is posted at the Mountain News, and if you'd like to take a look at it, I'd welcome your comments. Thanks, -Bruce http://themountainnewswa.net/2012/12/09/the-hunt-for-db-cooper-chapter-1-an-introduction-to-the-case-and-the-mystery/ I did read it. You need a good editor and a title change, that's my advice. Ditch 'The Hunt for DB Cooper' since it's already been used by Geoff Gray. Pro edit and format, six/nine paperback with B/W images, Amazon Kindle in color. This can be done by any number of people in the Puget Sound area.
  9. Cook isn't nuts. But he's motivated to somehow prove Gossett was the hijacker, even if he has go out on some nutty limbs in the attempt. The Janet Fable, etc. All the guy has to really do is interview the people who worked with Gossett at Fort Lewis around the time of the hijacking, and he hasn't done that. This is counterproductive to his appearances on Coast-to-Coast radio, since he might find out that Gossett was Present and Accounted For at the time of the crime. Can't have that happen... Can you elaborate on this please, Robert? Where was Wolfgang Gossett on November 24, 1971, and how do you know it? Thanks.
  10. Greetings Everyone, With the flurry of activity surrounding the case over the past couple of weeks, I've decided to reframe the opening chapter of my book. The new chapter is posted at the Mountain News, and if you'd like to take a look at it, I'd welcome your comments. Thanks, -Bruce http://themountainnewswa.net/2012/12/09/the-hunt-for-db-cooper-chapter-1-an-introduction-to-the-case-and-the-mystery/
  11. ...It goes on to say that agents went to a few wig and toupee shops in Pierce and Kitsap counties, and questioned some people. One of my questions in the cover letter to Eng is WHY did the FBI do this? In other words, WHAT made them think Cooper was bald? As far as I know that article is the only reference to such a thing, but it's pretty detailed. Names at least one shop, and the name of at least one person who was questioned. If they invested the time and manpower to do this, I would like to know the reasoning behind that effort. Another question would be why Pierce and Kitsap Counties? Pierce County is just south of Seattle and Kitsap is the Bremerton area across Puget Sound to the west from Seattle. Interestingly, MeyerLouie posted recently that he picked up Bruce Smith in Eatonville, which is in Pierce County, on his way down to the festivies in Ariel in November. Robert99 And I'm bald, or at least seriously thinning! Am I a suspect? If so, I trump Jo's claims to intimacy with the skyjacker, no?
  12. I have never "deceived" Tina Mucklow, nor have I ever revealed her "exact whereabouts" as Meyer Louie states in a prior post. His comments are erroneous and unacceptable. I have told him I expect a retraction. The DB Cooper investigatory community has discussed her situation at length, both here and at the Mountain News. My belief continues that she has suffered some kind of traumatic experience after November 24, 1971, which has caused her to become the embittered woman she seems to be today. Whether it is connected to the skyjacking, I do not know, but I suspect that it does. Further, I believe that she has some degree of social responsibility to shed light on the skyjacking and whatever happened afterwards. Just debriefing with the FBI in 1971 and later is not enough, as the evidence strongly suggests that the Bureau's investigation has been compromised.
  13. Great job, Robert. Thanks. I loved it. One suggestion- next time maybe you could have more pix of Christie, especially her dancing!
  14. Readrers might be interested in exploring another source of DB Cooper information - the "Ground Zero" talk radio show. It's Clyde Lewis' show and he spans a wide range of topics that includes the DB Cooper case. Last night I joined him, Galen, and a freelance reporter named David Paul for a four-hour discussion on the skyjacking that was substantive, lively and robust! I had a great time, and also learned a few more things, too. Some of the folks who called in and asked quetions were great. Doug Kenck-Crispin, "Carl," a former 727 pilot with 5500 flying hours, and Katy from Portland were all memorable, among others. Lewis has a personal connection to Wolfgang Gossett, which was the focus of the first half of the show, with Clyde and Galen trading tidbits of info and coincidences. Briefly, Gossett was Lewis' mentor in the talk radio biz, way back in the 1980s in Salt Lake City. Gossett was truly a remarkable guy, and his life is fascinating. Is Gossett Cooper? Nothing concrete was presented, so I guess it's still "We shall see." During the show we also touched on MKULTRA, SAGE radar, Tina and her life, the Fazio's mutilated cattle. missing evidence and a compromised federal investigation, and probably a lot more I can't remember at the moment. Mark 377 says this is the link: http://groundzero.fm/
  15. And you didn't even inquire about her book and who she was??? Freaky skinny blonde who is into DB Cooper? Bruce, did you also ignore her? 377 What? A cutie got away???? I was all Christie, all the time...
  16. I agree with what you say, 377, in general. Remote viewing accurately is tough work, and few do it well, as far as I can tell. Yup, where are the lottery winners or Wall Street mavens who make millions before their second cup o' coffee? Doesn't mean we should stop trying. Seems like a good use of one's time. What's the alternative? Sit in the mud and wait for my next social security check and dream of Christie? Have you read The Field? It is substantive and well-written. I highly recommend it. An alternative is to buy me a bottle of Cabernet and I'll give you a synopsis. I have a couple chapters written on the science of consiousnes, non-locality, etc. I've gotta bang them into shape and post them. Sigh. There's a part of me that is very content to sit in the mud and muse about women.... Just think - maybe your smirky cynicism will inspire me to jump outta bed at the crack of dawn and start writing. Well, maybe not the crack, but maybe 10 am.....
  17. Your cynicism runs deep, Three-Seven, Seven. I'm holding the line with the Lords of Karma on your behalf, but they're getting pushy, too! Twenty mill? Sounds like you've got some detailed information about the gov't's remote viewing programs. Please share!
  18. Greetings All, Well, Sailshaw got right to the heart of the matter and asked me what is remote viewing. Here's my answer. Also, 377, on behalf of the Lords of Karma, I forgive you for turning your back on the Siren. All is forgiven; please return! Along those lines, I don't think anything can be too "sciency." In fact, I truly beleive that extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. That goes Big Time with remote viewing. Here's my response to Sailshaw: What is remote viewing? Great question, Bob. I will be addressing it in depeth in the near future and it will require a bit of background science to discuss the findings of researchers. In particular, we will have to explore the wacky data and speculations coming from quantum physics and the New Physics, which is the study of how thought, emotions and expectations affect physical reality. This is mind-over-matter territory, but the issue can be simply reframed as saying, "How does prayer work?" If you just say, "Well God did it," well, then what kind of methodology or scientific principles did God use? Is God consistent when he/she acts, well, Godly? But in the short term, let's say just that Remote Viewing is commonly thought of as “being psychic." The nitty gritty is, though, what does that mean? What is psychic? How does one become psychic? Can one refine psychic experiences so that they become more reliable? Can you fine-tune your psychic abilities to win the lottery? The quick answer is yes. The tougher question is how to do it, and to what degree are people successful at honing their psychic abilities. Where are all those lotto winners! As a foundation for the discussion, we'll have to explore ideas like quantum entanglement and non-locality. These are concepts that suggest that physical reality is more inter-connected than first appears. These findings suggest that all of life exists within a vast field. Some call this the Zero Point Energy Field, and Lynne McTaggart has written a great book on the subject, called, "The Field." So, if all of reality is contained within a field, can we explore that field and either know or influence events at other parts of the field? If so, then we have a scientific explanation for how psychic phenomena actually occur. Hence, if you can have some kind of contact or influence throughout the field, then one might know about events and people that have existed in that field. Time and space seem to become less relevant at this point, so knowing the truth of the DB Cooper case may be as simple as walking into the Library of Quantum Entanglement, finding the case, and knowing the who, what and why of DB Cooper. To access that "Library" I utilize meditative, self-hypnotic practices that I learned at the Ramtha School, and I have many pages of notes about my experiences in those trances. I've also enlisted the help of a fellow researcher, a hypo-therapist named Gloria Peach, who happens to advertise on the Mountain News, and is also a student of Ramtha. Now Clyde Lewis is joining us. There is a sizeable stable of remote viewers in the world, most notably those individuals that worked as military remote viewers in the Stargate program - at Fort Meade, I believe in Maryland. David Morehouse is perhaps the most famous of them as the author of "Psychic Warrior," and there are others, such as Joe McMoneagle, who has also written a book or two. Folks at the Monroe Institute in Nellysford, VA are also involved in this stuff, and that may be another source of investigation. We shall see. Exciting times, eh?
  19. 11,24,71 ? Vickie! Those are my lottery numbers!!!
  20. The Ariel update is on the Mountain News, with lots of pix - of Blevs, Meyer, Dona, and of course, Christie! http://themountainnewswa.net/2012/11/26/hunt-for-db-cooper-cooper-day-festival-in-ariel-2012/
  21. Galen just sent me an email to say that he is being interviewed by Clyde Lewis on AM radio on Wednesday, November 28, from 7-9 pm Pacfiic Time, and discusing DB Cooper. Clyde's radio show may be called "Ground Zero" but I'll check. It's on Clear Channel,
  22. Just though I would share.... wonder what possessed this guy....lol..in the Oregon forest no less... http://www.mymodernmet.com/profiles/blogs/bruce-campbell-boeing-727 Quote Love seeing this guy living in a '27. Thanks, Smokin'.
  23. Ariel – 2012 I had a great time – one of the highlights for me was dancing with a woman named Christie! Whew! Marla, who? In between dancing with Christie and listening to Meyer get a guest shot at singing “Unchain My Heart” with the band on stage, I lost my note book. So my Ariel report is a bit thin at the moment as I’m relying solely on memory. But here are some highlights: I rode down from Eatonville with Meyer Louie and we arrived at a surprisingly very empty Ariel tavern around noon. As a result, we had a lot of time to talk with Dona Elliott, the owner. It’s her 23rd “Cooper Days” festival, and she told us she bought the tavern for $45,000. She also told us that the place became the site of the DB Cooper gathering because the soldiers from Fort Lewis were bivouacked just down the road at Merwin Dam when they came for the ground search in the spring of 1972. As for juicy stuff, Dona Elliott says that she thinks Ralph Himmelsbach is an “arrogant bastard,” who is “not interested in finding the truth.” Although Dona says Ralph has been to Ariel three times over the years, there is little love lost between these two icons of Cooper lore. Dona shocked me by indicating that she didn't know who Larry Carr is. Blevs got to Ariel early as promised and looked busy through the afternoon filming people as they came and went. He also sat down with Meyer, Dona and me for about a 30 minute quiet chat before the tavern totally filled up with tourists. The four of us jumped from story to story, and it felt quite Hamish, as they say in Yiddish, and Meyer seemed to fall in love with the tavern’s ambience and Dona's warm nature. Dona told us that she heard 305 fly overhead that night, and she adamantly says it was much lower than 10,000 feet. “It sounded like it was at 3,000-4,000 feet,” she declared. Blevs, I think, made the point that a jetliner flying as dirty as 305 was, would have its engines roaring so loudly that maybe it only sounded like it was lower. Hmmmm, something to ponder. Good news: Blevs didn’t act annoyingly as far as I could tell, and I think most folks were glad he was there. Meyer and Robert actually shook hands, too. Later Meyer spent a bit of time with Dona and they began to hatch a plan for a three-hour professional symposium next year at Ariel. It’ll be composed of round-table sharing of findings by investigators and presentations by experts. Meyer is heading that up. Along those lines, Mr. Kick-Ass himself, Doug Kenck-Crispin said that this Oregon historical organization is having a Cooper exhibit starting in August next year, and will also be sponsoring a DBC symposium on November 30, 2013. Doug is becoming more than just a historian or conference host, and is doing some investigative work on Cooper, such as researching how often and who was using 727s as a jump platform, such as the Forest Service. Doug was there with his dad, Bob, and a few friends. It’s clear a new generation of Cooper sleuths is honing their chops. Doug’s cutie intern Melissa was there, too, and she’s not a bad dancer, either. Doug is proving to be very tight-lipped as a Cooper researcher, as I found out as I pressed for details. He placated me with a beer, and it worked. This year. I had a good time at Ariel this year, can you tell? A big treat for me was meeting Clyde Lewis, who is a major emerging on-air radio personality. He is currently on 250 stations nationwide and will be expanding. He is buttressed up against the George Noory Coast-to-Coast programming, and Clyde explores many of the same topics, such as paranormal and hidden politics – he calls it para-politics, or some such. He also gives heavy coverage to DB Cooper and we talked at length. Here’s the kicker – he knew Wolfgang Gossett. In fact, Gossett was Clyde’s mentor when he was just starting out in radio in Salt Lake City in the early 1980s. Clyde was a teenager at the time, but nevertheless, “Wolfgang Gossett taught me everything I know about researching paranormal activity.” Gossett apparently had a paranormal call-in talk radio show in Salt Lake City. Clyde has researched Gossett extensively, and had a lot to say about personality characteristics of this notable suspect. Clyde said that Gossett had lots of qualities that he described as a “dark side,” such as possessing a menacing quality. I’ll expand on that, but I need to wait for my notes for better details. Also, Clyde is a big fan of using remote viewing to expand the DB Cooper investigation, and he said that he will make inquiries along these lines with folks that he knows are skilled remote viewers. Also, some of the entourage with Clyde are also passionate about using RV to pursue the truth of the Cooper case. I found Clyde to be a top-notch guy and avid Cooper investigator. He has a website and has aged-regressed Gossett with a beard to offer a compelling composite. Ron and Pat Forman also came to the shin-dig, and we enjoyed several quiet Cooper conversations in the “merchandize room.” Book sales must be good because Ron bought me another Black Butte Porter. Pat just texted me from their bed and breaksfast on the Lewis River and they found my note book! Thank Gawd! Some side notes: There is a flyer and pictures of Duane Weber placed prominently at the door to the tavern. There is no pix of the “Five Boys” as Jo has described, but Dona says that she has received the pix from Jo and has stashed it in some file. More gossip: Dona, Blevs, Meyer, me and others joked about how long we have been corralled on the phone by Jo. Dona won first prize by claiming a ten-hour phone chat with Jo one evening. Surprisingly, my lotto tix of 1-7-11-18-24-27 did not win. In a related event, Meyer, who is a college math professor, had a very heated discussion with me on the way home about probability, the power of the mind and creating reality. As for other mind-over-matter issues, I never needed the two polar fleece blankets I brought along to indure Meyer's need for coolness while I confronted my chronic inability to regulate my body's warmth. Ah, life in the Pacific Northwest.
  24. Ahem, a posting from Galen: Bruce: Happy Thanksgiving. Really laughing hard at the conspiracy buffs on the DZ, as you and I now have our own conspiracy going on ... :):) here are a few facts to my favorite shill (:)), just in case you want to help clear the air at the DZ and give a few more good laughs. to those in need. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Galen Cook says Happy T-Giving to everyone at the DZ, with the several facts stated below: 1. I was forever banned at the DZ in 2008, for getting in Larry Carr's face. Since then, Larry Carr and I have communicated regularily via e-mail and the phone and have let bygones be bygones. 2. Bruce Smith is a friend and a trusted journalist, and he must feel that I can be trusted too, as he has confirmed my findings in the past. 3. I personally like Jo Weber, although I wish she would quit sending me so many personal e-mails and voice calls to my private line. Attorneys bill by the hour, and my bill to Jo is going to be huge. 4. Both Larry Carr and Curtis Eng have told me that Duane Weber and Kenneth Christianson were ruled-out as suspects. No reason for the FBI or myself to comment further, as that matter is resolved. 5. I'm loving life in the turkey fryer, which incidentally, is where I do my best investigative work. Good day to all! Galen Cook
  25. Outstanding piece of writing Farflung. That's the Thanksgiving Day dinner I remember when I was growing up! 1950s-1960s, suburban New York.
