It seems the system didn't work for Jessica He was paroled in 1980! WTF? He should have been locked up for life! He had shown over and over, that he was not following the laws of our land. If he can't do that, then why was he allowed out on parole? I rest my case. In Houston, this kind of stuff happens a few times a year and the police handle it accordingly.......So, a guy gets drunk, fires his gun, and the SWAT team shows up(which if you have never seen them in action is a pretty damn scary thing because they are very trigger happy and can kill you legally) and the "stand off" starts! Which is really nothing more than a person thinking, I gotta sober up, so these freakin cops don't kill me and get a free vacation! I cannot see why this got you so up set. It can happen anywhere at anytime. You know, living life is dangerous-the future is uncertain and the end is always near! I agree. And too, I do not think these words are in defense of this offender. This person, if rightly and justly convicted, has paid for his crime and deserves a fair chance and he also has the obligation to follow the rules set for him by the legal system. I have known two men who were unjustly convicted in a bargain with the DA simply because they would have probably lost to a jury. I do not believe these men ever did anything to their children and it was the product of an evil X wife. Maybe the person in your neighborhood did really do something bad, or maybe he did not. How do you know? On a side note, one of the men I am writing about has since gone back to court to have his case looked at again. His daughters are 15 and 17 and they have statements saying their dad never touched them and the mom forced them to lie...........The judge and DA are fighting it with everything they have. The poor guy is about to give up because this has already cost him almost 100K with no end in sight. I doubt this person is the only man or woman in your neighborhood who is a threat to your family, it just happens to be the one your know about.
