    I came from a big family, everything was a hand me down. My dad took my sisters old bike, painted it a fabulous shade of green (really!) and put on a banana seat and butterfly handlebars. It was SOOOOO COOOL! One of my neighbors stole it one Sunday when we were at church, but she was so stupid she rode it by my house a week or two later.     I'm with you, I hate hospitals and the incredible way they waste time and resources. Last year at the WFFC we were putting up the flag poles and one of our guys took a HUGE chunk out of the middle of his thumb when the collet and pole came together with a thud.     That is awesome I love it.... I am not really a fan of tatoos. Streaker has the above one, and everytime we have sex, I look at that one or one of two others. I love Streaker, so his tats are good as far as I can say. I feel sorry for the guy, he has had to look at my hair everytime he has seen me for the last 32 years.     I am picking Patrick up at Ohare on Monday night. He was coming from France to help me with the WFFC, but since his ticket was already purchased, I talked him into heading to Skyfest with me instead. Then we are heading down to the middle of Illinois where we are going to pick up Clint, and head further South to see all of you cool people in Texas.     I am picking Patrick up in Chicago at Ohare on the 9th, and we are heading to Rantoul to pick up Clint the following day. Then we are driving thru the middle of the US to get to Skyfest and we will have room for one more person, of average size. I suppose the guys wouldn't mind offering their laps if their were girls who were very tiny wanting a ride, too. It's gonna be a great, albeit weird, road trip. These are two of the jumpers who help me set up the WFFC everyyear, and they are really looking forward to goving to Skyfest and seeing what it is all about. Patrick is Frenchwhore and Clint is Tall Slut for those of you who may know them that way. Last year they ran the International Love Shack at the WFFC.     I have a terrific dry creekbed picture somewhere. I've done several, and some that are wet during wet seasons only. I won't be able to look for a picture til I get home on Friday tho so be patient. I would use a wood sealer like Thompsons on the inside of the wishing well, but it's only a temp solution. Creosote isn't easy to use or pretty, and really isn't all that plant friendly. Next time build the areas that touch the ground with either a treated lumber (lasts about 30years) or a cedar (lasts about 15, but much prettier) skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

    Since I landscape for a living I have TONS of stuff doing well. Here at my house I have fabulous grapes this year. I have never had this many. One year I made 17 gallons of wine. I'm guessing this year I could produce a 100 gallons or more. Depends on the raccoons and 'possums tho.     On our city council, the meeting always opens with prayer. Each Council person is asked by the Mayor to take a month and be in charge of the opening prayer for that month. Some council people say the prayer, some find a minister to do it for them. I usually start my personal prayers like I'm talking to a friend,or family member, kinda because I believe I am, but it didn't go well on council saying "hey God, it's me, Beth again.."     A friend of mine was going thru EMT training and had to do a shift in the ER. Some guy came thru who had used a vacuum hose (attached to his vacuum cleaner) for the same kind of purpose. Apparently he had about the same reaction, and everybody in the ER talked about it for months. Funny stuff.
