You were still there on Monday? Damn dude. I had a good time on the last Sunday. It was very laid back and mellow. Gave us peeps still there a chance to sit around and talk about the awesome week we just had. Some of us turn that 10 day event into a 29 day event. When you arrive, I am already on day 14,, yea, I was there, and there were three of us left watching Cajones and Lew's trailer at the end of the week FOLLOWING the end of the CONVENTION. A guy down the street from me has a great sense of humor. He puts little orange pumpkins on his tree at halloween, to compliment the big american flag made out of lights on his front porch. As the season goes on he adds some turkeys, big lit up ones, some red and green lights, a big plastic Santa on the front porch, a couple of large lit up candles, a nativity scene, a couple of singing angels, also lit up and then 2 green aliens. Well golly...If that offended you, I'm sorry. My granddad told me once (and I listened to him) to never compliment anyone cause a compliment is based on a stretched truth. He said to just speak the truth and if someone takes it as a compliment, great..if not, oh well...all I did was speak the truth, as I see it, from the atributes of your avatar. Goal setting. A) define the goal,,,, make it measurable! B) Break it down into daily, weekly, monthly portions C) Keep track of it, in a SIMPLE format, so that the 'keeping track' doesn't take over your life D) Give yourself an attaboy each time you reach a goal, and DON"T beat yourself up if you are on your way, but miss one. The measurable part of this whole thing is the difficult thing for women. "I want to be smarter", I want people to like me" I want a better job. These are NOT measurable goals. If you want a degree by X date If you want to form an alliance with so and so If you want to be the VP of finance, these are measurable goals. We've had a couple inches (times 4) and I really miss the warm climes. I was all ready to move there when all of this happened.
