    When the engine on my van blew up, it passed bright blue smoke for about a month before I got it fixed. Never got stopped. I hated driving it that way, but I didn't have the 1700 to fix it, and had to use it to earn the money, so parking it wasn't an option.     Streaker and I both travel alot. He lived in a hotel for 2 years once, home on most, but not all weekends. The longest for me is about a month. Find the local library. Too much to read to be bored. You can kill hours in a library, and not even know it. Go to the local high school sports games, they love a crowd, and it really freaks people out when no one in the entire crowd can figure out who the hell you are. Call the players by their first names whenever possible.. Go the local McDonalds for coffee, there is always a 'coffee clatch' kinda group there. Pour them all a second cup. Ask them about their grandchildren. Compliment them on their hair, or bald heads. Look nervously over your shoulder alot. Buy some dog treats. Go for a walk and feed treats to all the dogs you encounter. Make friends with the meanest dogs. It ruins them as guard dogs. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

    I used to have to be in the annual Labor Day parade here. 100 plus entries in it. One year we got behind the guys from Whiteys Ice Cream, who threw free ice cream the entire route. One year, we got behind the horses, well use your imagination. The worst year was behind bagpipes. FOUR NON STOP HOURS. My teeth hurt by the time it was all over with. When asked about our line up for the fourth year, they said the Whiteys spot was taken, would I want to be behind the horses or the bagpipes. You know what we took... No really, if you enjoy the bagpipes find a piper group in your area, don't buy a thing until you talk to some of them. They will have the best advice for you, and someone will probably be able to loan you a chanter til you can figure out which pipes you want to buy.     It is stupid. One particular person has been on the "hope to be there" list for 3 fuckin years now. No shit some peeps hope to be there. Pointless to make a list of them though.     yeah thats what she told me my first year too.......but she never answered her damn phone!! I think the first year that you were there, I had cell phone issues, and they had me carry THREE of them. Since then Cingular has become our sponsor, and I only have to carry one phone.
