    Well....several responses (and other posts) suggest folks are using the stock 18-55 zoom lens that came with their camera, so I'd assume many are using zooms, even if they are locked down.     Quit being insulting, and try whining less. Some instructors are only rated to do tandems, some are multi rated. If the DZ doesn't let them know there are students to work with, then there is nothing they can do about it. If you failed to let the DZ know you were coming and needed an instructor then the problem lies with you. Do you expect an instructor to spen his whole day at the DZ on the off chance you might show up? ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

    A delicates soap like Woolite, and a large tub of cold water. Unpack and remove canopies, immerse container, soap, scrub and rinse repeatedly. Let hang out of direct sunlight till completely dry.     Most DZ's I've worked for charge sales tax on videos since a physical product is received. Other than that and the obvious gear sales everything else is a non-taxable service. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

    You're forgetting that the recent incidents, in fact just about all the incidents discussed in these threads were at major events and/or boogies.     All of my canopies have a PD logo on the stabilizer. In fact, I can hardly recall seeing ANY canopy that did not have the manufacturer's logo on it somewhere, usually on a stabilizer. I know of several canopies that have been produced for demo use that were specifically built without logos of any sort. The use of the US flag for advertising purposes is in very poor taste IMO. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

    I never had any trouble with mine, but I do not recommend any higher than a 1.3lbs sq ft. loading on a Dash M reserve. They were not really designed land properly at such loadings. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

    I think the problem is less the cameras presence, and more the assholes who feel the need to post the media. I have several shots of being flashes in freefall, or when on the ground, but they are not for public consumption. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are.
