Its kind of funny...I had cable for the longest time. Recently chose to get rid of it. The apartment complex I am in, we still do get the basic local channels with the cable off (nbc,cbs, abc, fox) I watch more TV now then I ever did...and im not paying for it Most of what I do watch is on NBC....with the exception of a guilty pleasure.... and one other show. I have had to use it as recovery even when belly flying I have seen that JP has answered alot of these questions reguarding this, however I will add one thing. This actually goes with any training. What works for one person may not work for others. What I mean by that, something that might take someone 45 min may only take you 15 or could take you longer. What you gain from the training is dependant on how you approach it, and what you learn from it. The time I have has been pretty much belly, with the exception of the one time I got taken out and shot across the tunnel and ended up flying on my back...that was cool.. First thing I would say...Check your ego at the door...it will do nothing but get in your way. Do that, and listen to what the instructors are telling you....and you will learn SOOO much...IT was worth every penny, and I intend on doing more time here shortly now that my shoulder is healed!

The key question will be...can you back fly and stable? Im sure one of the fine instructors from SVC will pop in, but I do know that before you do any FFing in any tunnel SV style you need to learn to back fly first. A lot of people do not realize exactly how much you move around in freefall until they get into a tunnel..and the walls hurt. Then even worse doesnt tell me when he is going to be gone, leaving me single shifted (which sucks..means no lunch/dinner for me). My soon to be former shift mate at work....i swear im ready to strangle him. Doesnt communicate shit. On multiple calls he has not informed me we were paged. We are to work this stuff as a team backing each other up. Thats great, but there has been quite a few times that he just goes off, doesnt drop me an IM or email or shout telling me WTF is going on. We had a major thing going on here, several times our boss asked me where he was and what was going on. I told him I have no idea.... I am not going to chase this guy around and nag him like a whiny wife, im not his wife, or his girlfriend I am a co-worker. He needs to tell us WTF is going on. Now having said that...I came in today and was informed that my shift is changing...im going with another group. I was kind of bummed at first....till I realized that swichting shifts would put me in a better positon personally with my days off...and then something happend today. I find out about 2 hours before hand that I am going to be single shifted, which means I cannot under any circumstances leave the building. (im here till 12am) Cant go get dinner or nuthin. Now the good thing, i brought food in...but in either case I found out that he was going to leave from someone else. This just frosted me something fierce!!! Now im excited that my shift is changing...Though i really feel like having a nice little chat with him.... Ok done venting...though I might still sit down and give him a lil piece of my mind about how uncool it was for him not to tell me I was going to be single shifted before we got on shift today, as that is the normal protocal...
