I have my own opinions about the whole skyride issue.. But I have jumped with these guys at outlaw field. (Good friend I was visiting lives in the traffic pattern) Overall, Not a bad place to jump. The only thing I didnt like is the fact the packing area is the lobby of the airport, but hey I could deal with that. I know they put me and a friend up on a load that only had like 6 people on it without waiting to fill the kingair. Thought that was pretty cool. Unfortunatly I only got 2 jumps in that day due to mechanical issues with the plane, but hey that happens I am a military pilot and totally understand how that could happen. To be honest I wasnt too happy about going to a dropzone afffiliated with them, but "I" had no issues and even shared a beer with a few of the staff that afternoon. So after all this rambling I guess I just wanted to say "I" had a good time and am aware of skyrides buisness practices and dont agree with them. Oh I have jumped with people on both sides of this argument and all were cool to me!

Looks like Ill be heading out from the FT Rucker AL area. Might bring 1 or 2 more folks out from here as long as the weather for jumping is worth the 3+ hr drive. Not worried about the cold even though I am plannin on doin the tent thing. Beer keeps you warm right? See yall in a few days

Ill be there to hit the exhibits on the floor. Wife bought me ticket to reno for that week. Ill be attending the boogie at skydive Tahoe... Father lives just outside the traffic pattern from the dropzone and usually spends afternoons at the taildragger bar on the airport. Hey A few of us up jumpers here at Rucker are watching this thread to see if this actually happens! We will make the short drive for PCB jumps.

After completing my AFF at Raeford. The military moved me away from FT Bragg to south Alabama. I have been to pretty much all the local Dropzones (within 4 hrs)and not one of them compares to the Farm! Hans and Sandy are awesome! Mike over at chuting star has helped me out on repacks/ inspections, and with ordering a new freebag from a line over I packed myself. Everyone at this dropzone are true professionals! Awesome huge landing area... 2 swoop ponds... room for indoor packing no matter how busy it gets. I have stayed in the bunkhouse as well as camped on site with no issues. I even brought my wife and 2yr old daughter up for a weekend and they both had a blast... Sandy put up one of those bouncy castle things for the kids. The only issue I had with the place is that the lz can be hard to spot from altitude due to no Runway to make it stand out from the rest of the Fields. But the easy fix for that is to jump there more and I plan on doing that! I love this place!
